The grind was lobbied for by many of us diehard Destiny fans. Personally, I wanted it so it would separate my dedication from a casual player. Dont get it twisted...I have helped MANY casuals out. But here is what I wont do w casuals anymore: - I wont do any endgame activities taking more than 15 minutes. - I no longer do Guided Games (not even sure u can still do the raids that way) - I no longer do Whisper runs for folks - I no longer help out anyone in the tower spamming for help (used to be really bad...not so much anymore) - I refuse to do any LFG raids. - if not for the player penalty, I would leave at least 50% of all Gambit matches (I'm nearly rank 11...that's a lot of matches) Casuals are the disease that plagued this game until Warmind hit. People would rage quit after their 3rd EP clear and no shotgun. Although it took me 99 LEGIT clears (level 1 - level 7) to get the shotty, I was happy to see casuals quit. To me, that made the grind worth it. To me, that's what separated my efforts from the casual. (Of course doing 99 clears is trash RNG...a completely different subject, one that I'm very bitter about) So, I say goodbye to casuals. There is zero sadness in me to see you all go.

Very well. All feelings aside ask yourself how much hardcore content would Bungie provide if they sold 600-700k copies of D3 at the initial release, and could they support the game adequately with the money gained from those sales now that they are not only a developer but also their own publisher? Economically you need the casual playerbase if for nothing but to provide capital for Bungie to produce content. Because there aren't 5 million hardcore players just itching to get into Destiny are there?

  • solo players arent casuals and working dad's aren't either. You don't have to help people out at all. This is why I am a solo player. Too many players are judgemental and ignorant. I don't care if I never do last wish raid bungie can keep it. Im not dealing with online toxic people anymore. Ill wait for good single player games and play the modes with matchmaking or not play this game at all. This is why I wont buy d3 . I can see it already, no matchmaking for anything lol. They can keep it, Im tired of being hated on for being solo. Solo players aren't bad players but that's what idiots think.

  • And you have just demonstrated your ignorance. The game needs casuals to survive. Besides, without casuals, who else ia going to pretend to be impressed with your EP shotty?
