Considering you can melt the primeval even before the invader can spawn or in between spawns it’s definitely your fault.
YOU choked. Stop blaming the game for that...
That is not the point so please don't change the subject. Either weigh in with your opinion or don't comment.
I think he brings up a good point though. The primeval can be melted incredibly quickly. And i think the game mode is balanced around high skill well coordinated players
Considering you can melt the primeval even before the invader can spawn or in between spawns it’s definitely your fault. YOU choked. Stop blaming the game for that...
Yeah because clearly exploiting everything like sleeper and EP shotgun while completely bypassing how Gambit was intended to work when it comes to the boss sure isn't cheating right You're naive if you don't know there's a behind the scenes system that weights favor in either your favor or the enemy teams
-
What is truly naive is to come up with excuses every time you fall short. I’ve faced teams that kill a primeval almost instantaneously. I don’t see them here complaining
-
What is truly naive is to come up with excuses every time you fall short. I’ve faced teams that kill a primeval almost instantaneously. I don’t see them here complaining
If you resort to having a full team of sleepers, ep shotties and etc just to instakill your boss without getting stacks like the game intends then you're by definition an exploiting cheater and bungie should rethink how Primevil fights should go, so that -blam!-ers like you can't instantly kill their boss in less than 10 seconds of it spawning in.
-
You don’t need sleepers or ep shotties. All you need is the correct super combination.
-
So a team that goes on prepared to win is doing something wrong. This community is so reduculous.
-
also the stacks are to help. They aren’t required...
-
also the stacks are to help. They aren’t required...
"To help" >are a fight machanic Maybe, yknow, bungie assumed players would start at stack 1 and would slowly kill their boss over time with more stacks being applied over time? Yeah
-
So it’s a teams fault that they set up for boss melting? EP and Sleeper suck for clearing ads. Which means a team with them is gonna pick up motes slower. EP and Sleeper suck for invasions. Queensbreaker shits on sleeper and so does 1000 Voices. Colony also rids those sleeper players easily. So teams with this loadout can’t invade at ease or deal with invaders at ease. The stacks are there for teams that focus on the other aspects of gambit. Like getting motes and invading...
-
Nope. Cerberus 1 bodied majors and regular ads and does great DPS inside a well of Radiance. 1000 Voices slays. Raider Flux hunter can put in some hurt or just rock Shards of galanor Blade barrage. Tractor cannon the primeval. Works a lot better than 4 sleepers. List goes on and on in options to burn the primeval... Sleeper is great. But it definitely isn’t the only option...

I only listed the mostly used examples, since bungie clearly didn't think a weapon meant to be op against EP bosses and mobs would also be used in such a pvpve gametype 🤦♂️
What is truly naive is to come up with excuses every time you fall short. I’ve faced teams that kill a primeval almost instantaneously. I don’t see them here complaining
Why would they complain if they have a entire team using a loadout meant to bypass how the game was intended It's like nightfall bosses, they go immune throughout their phases, but obviously people exploit the flaw that if you do so much damage that it goes past it's first or second health bar (which is by game mechanics it's phases as intended by bungie) it'll simply go straight to the second or last segment letting you damage the boss some more, even maybe killing it before it gets to change phases Stop defending cheating and exploits
-
I would view this as the game rewarding you for being good enough to do that much damage. Honestly, if you are single phasing content that is current (not outdated) you have probably: 1) Done that content at least once the normal way Or 2) Done your research (YouTube/Reddit/etc) Or 3) Paid your dues to grinding for one of the really strong DPS guns in this game Or 4) have a coordinated fireteam Or 5) multiple of above I wouldn't call it a cheat or exploit. I would calling it being good at something. Kinda like those "hacks" for parallel parking. One your good, you don't need to take the time to go through all the steps. Or these days, you've worked hard at your day job and can afford a car that does it for you :)

Edited by PasteteDoeniel: 11/4/2018 9:23:43 PMlol. every time my team summons the prime evil, the opposing team immediately panic invades. I just ignore the invader and go to work on the envoys. I usually manage to kill 1 envoy before either the adds or the invader get me. by the time the invader either dies or disappears, my team killed the other envoy and we melt the prime evil before the opposing team can invade. it's always funny to see the second invader spawn in right as the prime evil dies. and with that I agree, if invaders are hindering you so much, you really need to work on your strategy.
-
We usually have guys go left and right and leave only middle spawn open to kind an force the invader to spawn there. That’s only if we aren’t gonna instantly melt primeval. If we are there is usually a melting point Titan. Wait for the melting point and then hit him hard with supers and heavy. He’ll be down by the time the invader comes in
-
just had a random join our team. oof he was so ill equipped for gambit that it doesn't surprise me that people still have problems melting their prime evil. he had a bow, sniper and rocket launcher and was using spectral blades with knucklehead radar. on top of that when the prime evil spawned he focused on the prime evil with the spectral blades instead of killing the wizards. I would say he is the worst team mate in gambit, but at least he deposited small blockers instead of going for large ones. but that was the only good thing he did.
-
This is the problem with the community. Same thing happens when they complain about invaders. I’ve seen randoms go straight up in the air looking for me when I’m invading. Just literally float as high as possible. WITH MOTES. Like ok I’ll just pick you off easily then. Lot of players keep playing it like their isn’t a PvP aspect to it. What works on a damn NPC won’t work on an actual breathing, thinking person.
-
Lol. Didn’t know people did that. But doesn’t surprise me. Had a guy once panic invade us with 13 motes right after we summoned our prime evil. My tactic with dealing with invaders is to either bum rush the invader to force him to engage me. I only do that if I have less than 4 motes. Or hide behind something so he can’t shoot me if I have 5+ motes.

*sigh* Whatever you say...
Spawns work just like PvP. Only way you’re spawning next to someone is if they are on all 3 points.
100% agree, all these people complaining about invasions during primeval just have no idea how to do dps against one and arent using the right gear to do it
100% agree, all these people complaining about invasions during primeval just have no idea how to do dps against one and arent using the right gear to do it
Sometimes the portal can take a normal amount of time to open up after your team invader comes back, and then there's the times where the game likes to have the portal open up 5 seconds after your invader returns, so to say there's no catchup mechanics or else in pvp is a stupid thing to say It's like you idiots don't even remember that Activision patented such a system for use in their games to push microtransactions
