In forsaken we have the mind bender commanding hive which, unless I’m mistaken, is the first instance of the hive working with another species. Even though I’d imagine the mind bender dominated the hive rather than work out a deal I think it’d be cool to incorporate some “friendly” hive. Of course with the hive being so close to the dark and us the light it would be at most a short lived alliance with the hive trying to manipulate us but it’d still be cool to be able to talk to one.

2 RepliesReal question, but odd... Is it just me out there who believe that the hive are hot? Please don't kill me for this question!

The closest you'll get is Xivu'arath, and that's because she'll have 0 subtlety and attack you head-on in the open.

I would have a pet Thrall and name him Paul. Then go on to create a Brood of Light

3 RepliesIf I remember correctly, unless they were specifically stated as being caught an killed by Oryx, somewhere out there in the universe, there is at least one proto-hive "wizard" (the female insect queen type) remaining. I can't see the proper hive ever working with us due to their belief system being pretty much entirely opposite to ours, but that one single proto-hive basically made it her entire life mission to warn other races of the threat of Oryx. If she's still alive, I could see her as being an ally of sorts in Destiny 3, maybe sharing a kinship with Eris, as they both know what the hive are truly capable of, having seen the horrors of the hive first-hand.

3 RepliesIf we are going to have friendly enemies I want it to be the fallen
-
That's not possible. Friendly and Hive are mutually exclusive. The Hive would never partake in something they consider to be a weakness. They may have love for each other, but they are anything but friendly to each other.
-
Ok now I want my guardian to have hive pets follow me around feeding on my carnage and lapping up the residual light I leave behind.
-
Friendly - Hive Pick one.
-
I think it could work if they did it like a Gravemind Halo 3 scenario. We fight together for mutual benefit, but the Hive immediately turn on us when it benefits them.

2 RepliesAs I've said before the Hive are physically incapable of being allies. The Worm inside them demands they feed on Light. If they were around us and not trying to kill us their Worm would literally begin consuming them.

4 RepliesThere was the d1 Hunter exotic that allowed you to punch enemies and turn them to your side, I had lots of thrall buddies doing my dirty work
-
It is not possible as of now. They work for the darkness via the pact with the worm gods.
-
It would certainly be interesting but it wouldn’t make any sense at the same time.
-
25 RepliesThis would break lore since the hive need to kill and devour light to satisfy their worms and survive.
-
2 RepliesI’m sure Toland has tried to do that at some point. It also wouldn’t surprise me if Eris does as well.
-
The part in the dreaming city trailer with the big wizard and 3 knights is strange. They don't really look hostile when the guardian approaches. I don't think this means they're friendly, but it's certainly interesting and it makes me unbelievably curious lol.

Eris!
-
It would absolutely be cool, but unfortunately it isn't really possible

1 ReplyThey call Hiraks the Mindbender because he bent his Hive's mind to be complacent to his will. They're his zombie slaves, I'm not sure if the Guardians can replicate that
