As a titan player I find it completely ignorant that I can have 10 resilience and 10 recovery but I still die in two shots while a hunter or warlock with next to no resilience does more damage than a Titan. I thought Titans were supposed to be tanks but no. Hunters and warlocks have the right ability sets, Hunters move super fast, warlocks can regen health in seconds. But a Titan, not a tank, can’t take more than two bullets without dying. Why?

1 ReplyRun 5 strength and 5 discipline. Full melee every 40 seconds and a grenade every 25 seconds 👍 Sorry, wrong game 😁

1 ReplyTitans have really been left in the dust. Lackluster supers aside from Sunbreaker, shitty armor, shitty exotics (that goes for all classes though), fixes not being a priority (looking at Sentinel here), stuff like that.

3 RepliesEdited by Killmonger: 7/10/2018 6:16:48 PMThey never should've switched from the intellect, discipline, and strength stats. These new stats are dumb. They give you the option to build high resilience the one stat that should mesh with Titans and make it seem useless, and not noticeable, but the recovery is, and the mobility is for hunters. Nothing sets us apart from the other classes except that overshield on a class that needs a buff. Anything titans have the other classes have something far superior. One punch from a titan should do serious damage, the second should finish the job. I'm still waiting to hear if they will be fixing the actual bubble and hit detection on the sentinel titan by September or not. Lets take a look at the damage bungie has done to the titan class shall we: 1. Nerfed shoulder charge no longer a one hit kill even though it was avoidable with something called a radar available. 2. Juggernaunt shield removed 3. Blessings and weapons of light taken away and given to warlocks 4. Bubble and armor of light nerfed 5. Stromcallers landfall popped the bubble in one hit 6. Nova bomb destroys the bubble and person inside instead of just the bubble 7. tracking removed from hammers 8. Some of the best titan exotics taken away and nothing good to replace them with example, peregrine greaves, immolation fists, helm of inmost light, twilight garrison, thagomizers, glasshouse, and no back up plans 9. Trash barricade with slow activation times 10. No evade ability, when a huge hive knight has better evasion tactics than you somethings wrong 11. Titan skating removed Shall I continue smh.

1 ReplyI main my Titan to and he's so upset he just wants to Smash. But alas he struggles to find the strength to squash little hive worms. And thats with his super. He longs for the days when he used to have powerful shoulder charges and hammers that actually had fire and not just smoldering smoke.

This is why I'm a Titan, Code of the Protector (Double Health) Synthoceps Suppression Grenade Acrius or EP Shotgun and the Mic Drop Emote. Using that class set makes me completely too tanky, if you're dying from two bullets, its not that the titan is tanky, but you're getting picked off too easily I have: 2 Mobility 5 Resilience 7 Recovery :D Im not having trouble with myself as a titan, im used to her mechanics :D prolly thats why i dont die as much

2 Repliesthat's why i quit d2! they nerf titan to the ground! all i can see is hunter's everywhere in crucible. hunter's are op.

1 ReplyNo point of going past 5 res and recovery is only good past 7 or 8 and mobility is really only a pvp thing cause of the chicken dance strafing in and out of cover getting off 3 gravition lance shots. Say buff res to actually reduce damage by like 1.5% per point or increase health by like 3 per point but then we get to what a lot of players cry about that being "TTK IS TO LONG RE RE RE TEAM SHOOTING RE RE RE I WANNA INSTA KILL PLAYERS RE RE RE".

Here's the thing. Titans aren't tanks, they haven't been since D1, the stats make so little difference it almost doesn't matter. Resilience affects how much burn damage you take I believe, not gun damage or that would be broken. The problem isn't with titans alone, you do realise that anyone with those stats feels the same? I have 8 recovery and I feel like it doesn't do anything most of the time. It's definitely faster than having half of that or less like on a hunter but when you've got a helmet that if ores that stat, does it matter? Anyway back to the point, titans are no different from hunters and warlocks so speaking as if titans are victims of something that makes no difference doesn't make sense sorry. Besides theast thing we need is for guns to take even longer to kill.

1 ReplyMobility, resilience, and recovery are joke stats.. They barely do anything at all. I miss the stats and perks from D1.

2 RepliesEdited by Doc Walker: 7/10/2018 9:51:06 PMMobility resilience and recovery don’t mean much in this game

We found out long ago that the classes really don't serve those roles well (Tank, Healer, etc), they may feel slightly different because of abilities or supers, but they're basically the same. It's never truly been a tank. About the best a Titan has ever been was a Shock Trooper running Striker in Crucible or a support guy in the Raids for DPS/Armor. And Resilience and Mobility and shit like that? The effects are so negligible that it's barely worth following. At least in D1 you could know when your melee or grenade would recharge based on Str or Dis. But they've neutered those too. So whatever. I played a lot of crucible as a Warlock before Warmind came out, and though I ran high recovery from time to time, it didn't help all that much anyway. Basically, you're asking what we've all been asking all along. "Why is there no depth or complexity or customization?" And we've never gotten an answer dude.

I miss my good old bubble support but alas bungie gave all bubble abilities to warlocks cus.... Why not, warlocks to underpowered I guess

3 RepliesI started a forum on this exact topic and your right. Wth?

1 ReplyCertainly in PVE i feel my titan is often a bit of a glass cannon compared to my other characters and I have messed about with stats but didn't feel any real change. In PVP, they have many overshield/heal options so they do ok.
-
This is so true. Resilience is meaningless in this game
-
I think they might be bugged. Ive noticed the same thing
-
Bungie has stripped out what makes Titans well, Titans and left it in appearance alone. It's like they think if our shoulder pads are bigger we'll feel tankier. It doesn't work.

while a hunter or warlock with next to no resilience does more damage than a Titan
Resilience has nothing to do with your damage output genius.
-
A 10 resilience titan should have more health than a 10 resilience Warlock or Hunter. However Hunters outheal warlocks at the moment with Wormhusk Crown. Wormhusk shouldn't give you any boost to health and your recovery stat should have affect how fast you heal with that exotic. That would balance out the exotic.

git gud

I think it’s because Shaxx is the Crucible, and he doesn’t give a s***!

3 RepliesOr you just suck as a titan 🤷🏿♂️
-
Sorry dude but it's been proven that anything over 5 resiliance or recovery has very little additional effect on staying alive in PvP.
-
2 RepliesThe only thing I like about Titans is double pulse nades, and Synthoceps. Gets me out of many close quarter situations. Other than that yea, hunter Main and meta weapons of course as a PvP main player.

1 ReplyI would agree that Titans should feel meatier than they do. However, I wouldn't say the others feel any "more" meaty than a Titan, so I wouldn't change them. I would just make Titans a bit more sturdy.
