Watching UP right now
Just finished the very beginning and remembered how sad it was :(

Fun fact for you... the shade of pink found in the beginning scenes was called Ellie Magenta ( or something like that) and as the beginning progresses, you see the link lighting fade. But at the end when the house is on paradise falls, the pink lighting returns, saying that Ellie still lives on[spoiler]im like 85% sure... [/spoiler][spoiler]you can look it up if u wish[/spoiler]

Probably the saddest I ever felt in a movie theatre. My god they not only hit the heartstrings but knotted them up before tearing them out and using them as floss.

There are too many movies right now with ridiculously fast pacing and no true point or deeper meaning, that are only superficially entertaining to watch at best. Pixar movies take a slower, less exhausting pace, and with themes that are designed for introspection rather than marketing. Other than Studio Ghibli, no other animation film studio really does that.
