The Atheon Challenge is just Abyssmal.
When I first looked at the challenge i thought "Ok everyone has to kill at least one oracle." But then I discovered that Every player needs to kill an oracle EVERY time Atheon Teleports. If even ONE player doest kill an oracle in one rotation, you fail the challenge!
Bungie this is just Horrific to the point of socking the whole lot. Before you turn to destiny 2, PLEASE make the challenge: "All players must kill at least one oracle across the board." Not Every rotation.

5 RepliesIts easy. Run in, shoot at oracles until your name pops up, gtfo. Then if everyone has Sleeper you smash Atheons back doors in during the first dps phase. Easy easy easy.

Only issue imo is if he chooses 3 people on venus side and it's venus I've had wipes because people on the outside couldn't break thier shield, get across and open the gate before the 4th oracle wipes us. That's why I always liked the original players in back get teleported.

1 ReplyOut of the 4 final boss challenges, atheon is the second easiest. It goes crota, atheon, Oryx, and aksis Of course, as long as your whole team actively communicates, none of them are actually difficult.

7 RepliesThree get teleported, one grabs shield, kills ads and plants at gate to cleanse. First person calls out their oracle. Three outside open gate, two go in asap and communicate with shield holder who is shooting what and when. First player that got teleported and killed the first oracle replaces the last player holding the gate. As players kill their oracle, go back through and help with ads. Sleeper stimulant does the best because it shoots through the shield while doing dps. Repeat.

Edited by chickengoujohn93: 8/23/2017 3:00:46 PMI hate to say it but the current Raider base is mostly noobs, scrubs or last ditch attempts to complete some Raids at least once before Destiny 2. Not a good mix. When a Raid drys up of loot, which in Destiny's case, happens within the first month or two of a new Raid release, Raiders simply stop playing. Some may still hang around for enjoyment that little bit longer but it doesn't last. Most experienced players stopped playing months ago. Its not that hard and you barely need communication. The game tells you where the group has been teleported, killing supplicants has always been a no-brainer, and a person should know whether or not they destroyed an Oracle.

I can understand this possibly being a problem with a team that doesn't communicate. My suggestion, find a team that you can play with on a steady basis & situations like this become very easy.

1 ReplyI have no doubt you all can do the challenge fairly easily. However for some reason ill never understand, my brain cant take that much information at once and i choke. (not literally choke but i slip up every time) Theres nothing i want more than that sense of accomplishment but with the way my brain just shoves a middle finger to my reflexes, it looks hopeless.

4 RepliesA little tip here's how my raid group does it when one person kills one oracle they trade places with one of the three that wasn't warped in we leave the third oracle to the aiges carrier and we keep doing that until atheon's done

If you're doing it right it should only take one rotation.

Did it once on day 1 of release and that's it. Got the Emblem, done!

Haven't raided for a bit, but 1-phased Atheon the last 8 or 9 runs. It really isn't difficult with communication.

I haven't played in months, but I particularly enjoyed the challenge. Actually felt like one.

If you're teleported, keep shooting oracles in the order they spawned until you see your name at the bottom-left corner of the screen, then run outside. If you aren't teleported, tell the other 2 people with you to run inside. Once you see someone come outside, go in & keep shooting the oracles furthest away from you until you see your name at the bottom-left corner of the screen, then run outside.
