PvE wise - agree.
PvP - No, D1 feels more like CoD with its ridiculously quick time to kill and one shot secondaries and abilities. The changes to the mechanics in D2 actually takes the gameplay further from CoD, which is great.

The time to kill is about 4x longer in Destiny 1 than it is in most CoD-games if we are talking about primaries.

Yup I agree with that. My point was D1's TTK is much quicker than D2's, therefore D2 's gun mechanics move away from a CoD style gameplay.
