[spoiler]The following takes place where Field Trip part.2 left off.[/spoiler] The three guardians were taking cover from a Vex invasion in Dawn's bubble, behind a crashed Warsat. They heard the booming of torch hammers and the pews of slap rifles bombard the area around them. "So, does anyone at all have [i]any[/i] sort of plan?" Ventis asked. Dawn sat silently as she rocked back and forth. RJ shrugged. "We're kinda in a tight spot. Literally. Walking out would be.. suicide. Nerf vex." "You're right. And even if we do wait it out and successfully transmit the Warsat, it still doesn't get rid of our little murderous robot problem. Joy." Ventis sighed. Dawn sniffled, regaining her composure a bit. "I.. I think I-I can help.." "Really? How?" Ventis asked, genuinely curious. Dawn sniffled again, before slowly taking her finger and poking Ventis' helmet which still had a Bull skull on it. "Boop." Dawn said. In that moment, Ventis' body was coated in a pristine blue aura. "What is this power..? It feels like it's protecting my entire body! Brilliant, Dawn!" Dawn smiled. "It's.. m-my blessing.." "With this, We will have the means to defeat the Vex!" Ventis shouted. RJ shuffled toward Dawn. "Hey! Pass that blessing over here, why don't cha?" Dawn nodded. "O-Okay.." She placed a finger on RJ's helmet, just like with Ventis. "Boop." RJ's body lit up as well, now having received Dawn's blessing of light. "Oh yeah! This is awesome! I bet the Vex won't even be able to scratch us now!" "Precisely, my friend! Now, on my mark, RJ!" Ventis yelled. 1!....2!....3!....4!....5!....6!...7!...8!..." RJ stared at Ventis as he kept counting. "Uh. Dude. Stop. 3 would've been a good number to stop at." "Oh. Right. Sorry. Alright, let's have at it again. 1!.." "3!!!!" RJ shouted, running out of the bubble with a scout rifle. He was immediately shot on sight by the Goblin units, but their firepower was not enough to penetrate the overshield. RJ, even though being a young guardian, was able to aim down the scope of the scout rifle and flick from target to target, as he shot their radiolaria filled centers with great precision, causing them to explode. "Ha! Scrubs!" Ventis was wielding an auto rifle, as he laid down a steady stream of bullets that tore through the Vex armor. He saw another wave of reinforcements come over the Martian sand dunes. "I'm afraid I can't let you do that!" Ventis said, chucking a solar grenade that eradicated some of the oncoming Vex, and caused a hazard for any more who dared approach. Dawn, from inside the bubble, looked at her two teammates. She was debating. She wanted to help her teammates but.. she was scared. On the outside, a massive Minotaur made itself known, and was steadily advancing on the Warsat. It let off a robotic scream. "RJ, the Minotaur! Focus the Minotaur!" "The Mino-what?" "The [b]MINOTAUR!!![/b]" "I don't known what that means!" Ventis sighed loudly. "THE BIG ONE!" "Ohhhh! The bi- URGHH!" RJ had been hit full force by The Minotaur's arm. It sent him flying, face planting into the Martian sand. He struggled to get up, but couldn't find the strength to do so. "Ugh.. N-Nerf.. Mino.. ugh.." RJ's face went back into the dirt, he had fell unconscious. Ventis, now being the only shooting gun, was getting even more outnumbered, and the blessing he had was quickly getting weaker. "Don't.. Know how much I can keep this up!" He grunted, quickly reloading his auto rifle. He began firing, and before he knew it, his blessing wore off, causing him to take REAL damage. He yelled in pain, before stumbling backward from the countless slap rifle wounds. He dropped his gun, and began crawling back to the safety of the bubble. "D-Dawn.. I'm too weak to.. to fight.. And I haven't built up enough l-light for my radiance.." Ventis coughed. "Its.. up to.. ugh.." And with that, he went silent, falling unconscious as well. Dawn was terrified. Both of her comrades are now unable to fight, and she was alone. She began to cry.. Until she heard the professor's voice in her head. [i]You're a Defender, Dawn. Defend.[/i] Dawn's personality instantly shifted, and she pulled out a hakke shotgun. "[b]THAT'S IT! BACK OFF OF THE WARSAT, YOU OVERGROWN BLENDERS![/b]" Dawn charged out of the bubble, and began defending the Warsat. She instantly began unloading shell after shell into every Vex unit that dared step near her vicinity. "[b]THAT ALL YOU GUYS GOT!? COME ON, I'M RIGHT HERE!!"[/b] Soon, Dawn ran out of ammo. She instantly chucked her shotgun at the attackers. [b][i]"NO AMMO? NO PROBLEM!"[/i][/b] Dawn started punching and dropkicking the Vex units, her blows so strong, that it would cause the alien machines to explode. [b][i]"THAT'S RIGHT! KEEP COMING, I CAN DO THIS ALL DAY, ASSHOLES!"[/i][/b] Dawn destroyed countless Vex with her bare hands, and once the warsat's data had been fully collected, it was successfully transmatted. The remaining vex, too afraid to fight, teleported away from the location. All that remained was Dawn, and she was surrounded by dead, Vex chassis. She exhaled, happy that she had succeeded. But she remembered her teammates. "Oh no! Y-You guys!" Dawn ran over to Ventis and RJ and helped them both up. "Are you two.. o-okay?" Dawn asked. "Yeah.. cloak's a little dusty but we're fine for the most part." RJ said. "Wow, Dawn. You really came in clutch!" "I do agree with RJ. Nice job, Titan." Ventis said. Dawn smiled. "T-Thanks you guys.." From the distance, a couple of sparrows could be heard. "Look guys! Other guardians!" RJ called out. Indeed, there were other guardians. A hunter and a Titan. They rode their sparrows until they approached the Kinderguardians. "Well, well, well. Lookie what we got here, Ed!" The Hunter shouted. "Kinderguardians!" "Oh, boy!" The titan said. "I bet they don't even know the first rule about fighting the darkness!" "Buncha noobs, they look like!" "Hey!" Ventis shouted. "We're not noobs! We're guardians! And we just transmatted a warsat!" The two older guardians broke out in laughter. "Hear that, Ed!? They transmatted a warsat! He said that like it was a big deal!" "Hahaha! How many warsats have we transmatted today? 6? 7?" "I lost count, hahahah!" RJ growled. "Hey! Both of you shut up!" "Uh oh." Ed said. "You better get your kind, Tim." "Pffft. He's not a hunter. [i]I'm[/i] a hunter. You call that a cloak, kid?" "Yeah, why woul-" "Well, it looks like a blanket. You really are a kinderguaudian! Hahahaha!" "That Titan looks like she would need it too! Hahahaha!" The two older guardians started laughing again, as the three Kinderguardians stood there and listened to it. They didn't have any retorts, so they just stood there, getting saddened by their bullying. "Hey!" A voice called out. "Was that.." Ventis asked trailing off. "Prof-Professor BraveCole?" Dawn finished. BraveCole walked up to group of guardians. "Who the hell is Bra- OOF!" BraveCole took the Hunter and and picked him up by the collar. "You laughing at my kinderguardians, bro?" "U-Uh n-no sir, we were just being Sherpas!" "Uh huh. Tell me. When did you become a guardian?" BraveCole asked, his grip tightening. "A-Around.. Around the time Oryx arrived in the system, s-sir.." "Hm. Taken tot, huh? And you call yourself laughing at Kinderguardians." BraveCole took the Hunter and chunked him into his Titan buddy. "If I catch you picking on my Kinderguardians again, [i]Your[/i] head is going up [i]his[/i] ass." "Let's g-get outta here, Ed!" The Hunter shouted. And with that, the two bully guardians sped off on the same sparrow. "Wow, Professor. You really showed them!" RJ said. "Yeah. Never really cared for guardians who picked on noobies. Speaking of, did you three do what I asked?" "Most of it, Professor. We still have some things to do, however." Ventis said. "Forget about that stuff. Because YOU guys.." BraveCole rubbed his hands together. "[b][i]Are gonna learn how to use different elements of light."[/i][/b]
