Tier levels (for example tier 11 or 12) is the total number of filled in or "white" bars associated with the three attributes: intellect, discipline, strength.
That being said this is the max stats for each piece of gear and the bonus that can be applied with perks.
Helmet: 46/46 + 19
Gauntlets: 41/41 + 17
Chest: 61/61 + 25
Legs: 56/56 + 23
Class item: 25/25 + 10
Ghost: 25/25 + 10
Artifact items: 38/38 + 43 (int, dis items can be 38/54 + 43)
if you need any help understanding or leveling up your tiers please contact Cowboy way72, DEKEDIGGLER, or Smurphy007 for assistance.

I prefer looking good. I honestly can't be bothered upgrading gear with better rolls. It takes too long and I'm not willing to use my motes.

Fashion beats function.

Nah, looking good is all that matters. I have my Titan with full Trials gear or Trials + Twilight at T11, same goes for my Warlock. Hunter has raid armor and Graviton Forfeit. Good enough for me and my characters don't look ridiculous.

Bump.

Still confused. Anyone else?

Hello I have several tier 12. Both in hunter and warlock. Even tier 14 with the memory of felwinter. Before, it was easier and fun to get it. Before the infusion of an armor or object into another of less light was added a point of ability if it was superior to that of the object receiving it. For example, when you infuse a leg of 385 light with 45 of intellect and 36 of discipline in a leg of 370 light with 44 intellect and 38 discipline You obtained a leg of 385 light with 45 intellect and 38 discipline. And so until you get your leg of 56 and 56. :-) With the rest of objects and armor you did the same. That is why you had to look very well at the blues as well as the purple and yellow. Now I think it no longer adds to the infuse :-( hola yo tengo varios tier 12 . tanto en hunter como en warlock.

put simply the tier system goes like this: if your looking at gear on my legend while signed in to bungie.net you have 5 tiers each on interlect, discipline and strength just below light level. the total tiers you can get at max (in theory) should be 15 with each of the above maxed out, however the most you ever seem to get to is around tier 12 at max (which is the highest i have seen) being say 5 - 5 - 2 or something along those lines.

Or just use dim

10 RepliesEdited by SaltyCamper21: 2/5/2017 1:21:42 AMCan the blue artifacts that drop from the forge get you to T12? I just pulled one and it was better than the perun I had on but not quite T12 level. Same question for the blues that drop from hoard chest too?

OK this actually helped me haha

What is funny is that I main a Titan but a few weeks ago, playing on my hunter, I unknowingly went Tier 12. I laughed pretty hard. All that time trying to find the best setup for my titan and I tier 12 my hunter without even realizing it, lmao.

Edited by RevZilla: 2/5/2017 8:02:50 PMHonestly tier 11 is more useful if you can't attain reload speed, ammo bonus, one of the iron lord artifact perks, and subclass extra armor from the armor itself for a tier 12 build.

13 RepliesI just like my Tier 14 Warlock. It freaked my buddies out quite a bit when I first showed them. :)
Yes, Intellect doesn't mean 'squat' with the build, but still kind of cool to have the Tier level. ;)
2 RepliesEdited by Grig: 2/5/2017 8:18:39 AMBasically, tier levels are the excuse obsessive retards of this game made up to formulate an imaginary excuse to keep playing. Its like making up rules in rumble. Just......cringe.......there are no tiers. Just.......depressing shit......depressing shit all over the place.

10 RepliesHelmet: 46/46 + 19 = 111 Gauntlets: 41/41 + 17 = 99 Chest: 61/61 + 25 = 147 Legs: 56/56 + 23 = 135 Class item: 25/25 + 10 = 60 Ghost: 25/25 + 10 = 60 Artifact items: 38/38 + 43 (int, dis items can be 38/54 + 43) = 119 (135) Grand total is 731 (747) I find totals more helpful for me as it's quick to look at the max of the top vs the minimum of the bottom to see if the total is near one of the totals above.

Bump for reference, thanks

1 ReplyAnother light increase and then we could max each tier.
-
2 RepliesThis might be a dumb question but do you have to have max stats on every piece of armor to get to tier 12?
