As with any game you're initial K/D tends to haunt you later as you get better, but besides that I try new things. I play different classes. I try different builds. I try different styles of play. That keeps things fun for me. My experiments don't always work out and my K/D suffers for it. In the end I'm striving for that "positives" value but if I never reach it? -blam!- it!

6 RepliesWhat is this K/D you speak of? Kevin Durant?
-
How are you proud of your k/d when you say you are striving to change it?
-
7 RepliesThere's nothing wrong with a bad k.d but there are pricks in the destiny community who says "you gotta have a 1.6 above to play with the team".
-
1 ReplyI don't think KD matters due to SBMM but I see jerks with a 0.3 KD trying to tell me that "That weapon sucks, all queens weapons suck." or "I like the Doctrine with Rodeo because Counterbalance sucks on that gun!"
-
I have 1.1 and I don't care. Sure I try and stay positive each game, but I still have fun. It doesn't really matter in the end.
-
Good on you mister at the end of the day it's about haveing fun and enjoying the game .
-
Same here *internet high five*!
-
I don't care about comparing my kd to others, it's a personal achievement thing. But you're right, there are more important things to worry about.
-
stop showing off lol
-
I really like this. The most important thing is to remember to have fun! If you get too serious, it stops being a game and becomes something else.
-
Signed. I only do iron banner and struggle even to reach rank 5. At the end of it my k/d looks like yours but i loved every minute of it.
-
*bump*

This. I murdered my K/D in pursuit of thorn year 1 as a hunter. I go positive more often lately but oh well.
-
Hey, that's great. That's how you like playing and there is nothing wrong with any of that. Along those same lines though, there is also nothing wrong with someone striving to improve and maintain a higher k/d. My k/d sucks despite my best efforts to improve it. Oh well.
-
3 RepliesThis was my first fps so my kd is barely above 1.0. Because I was really bad at first but got better over time
-
My dog ate my k/d.

3 RepliesRather a 0.8 K/D honored player without cheats than higher K/D with lag switches. You will improve with time... Things that are important: 1) Know the maps and best routes for your weapon loadouts; 2) Know spawn points and be prepared for spawn kills; 3) Use vertical awareness to confuse the enemy and get them off guard; 4) Learn not to rush to a certain death; 5) Play mind games with your oponent... If someone is hidden on a corner and waiting, you are about to be party crashed -1... Flank... What you can't never change, the way your randoms play.... Learn to use them as radar ;) Improving the points above will help... Improving aiming to head helps a lot too... And the most important of all: get a MIDA!

There are a lot of people who deleted their characters, and then created a new one. To get a higher KD, and brag about their stats. Now they cry about how hard SBMM is. Karma.
-
I ruined my Kd when I was asleep at a sleepover and my friend got on my Xbox and he ruined my kd
-
Nice yo :)

ToO and IB both have level advantages and every other game mode you have to deal with team mates. Unless you play rumble in regular crucible exclusively, your KD doesn't mean a damn thing. Don't let anyone tell you differently.

Cool story, bro.
