New idea for rerolling guns using commendations.
While I do agree the old rerolling system was broken and overused so everybody had their God Rolls, having to completely depend on RNG isn't acceptable either so...
Using what's already ingame, bring back the Commendations from Vanguard and Crucible and combine them with the gunsmith weekly package options.
This is how it works.
You level up
Get commendation
Go to gunsmith
Choose what gun you want to reroll
Once you use the commendation it's gone
The gunsmith gives you 3 different rolls
If you like one of the rolls choose it
If you like your current roll, cancel out.
Simple and not game breaking. A middle ground between the old and current system.

24 RepliesIt was broken because in the end at that time there were only 5-6 guns players would roll into oblivion until they got their God roll. Hopscotch pilgrim, Felwinters Lie, Ef spear, against all odds ect ect. Why have a reroll system if mainly 5-6 guns are used and the rest trashed. And rerolling costs a lot of consumables if your trying for a God roll instead of a close enough roll. Many players who had saved up 100's if not 1000's of weapon parts and motes of light went through them like a crack head winning the lottery.
