I have wondered this for a very long time, and haven't really seen a discussion on it.
Ice Breaker-- a sniper rifle that recharges ammo and has no magazine.
Invective-- a shotgun that generates reserve shells out of thin air.
This, to me, makes zero sense why there isn't a fusion like these other two exotics. These guns shoot pure energy. They're "magazines" are actually batteries (the extended mag perk for fusions is called enhanced battery). Yet there isn't one that charges its own energy.
I propose, Bungie, that you consider this. I love fusions, and I've been wanting a cool-looking exotic one that has a "rechargeable battery". I don't think any exotics that have come up on YouTube, or the "make an exotic" threads have actually been put into the game. This however, is just giving a general idea to a legitimate question.
Edit: Most of you keep saying Pocket Infinite. While this gun did have Mulligan in its respective perk, it did not recharge it's own ammo.

2 RepliesIt could have one of those shake-to-charge batteries in it so it charges while you sprint.

It should be like a plasma rifle from halo. Spray the primary, pull out secondary fusion rifle which is automatic (after a small charge time) after a few bursts the gun overheats and go back to primary.

2 RepliesI could see them making a solar one (Arc-PlanC and Void-Telesto) I think solar would make sense because solar panels charge electricity, and maybe even update the pocket infinity? The war-mind panels could pass for solar panels? I think it would be a great idea. I love fusions, and to have a recharging exotic one would be awesome. It could also give Bungie a reason to bring back pocket infinity.

It's a cool concept but look at all the problems invective and icebreaker caused for pvp. I am all for new exotics but we must consider their abilities for both against the darkness and other players.

This would be awesome

2 RepliesThere used to be one called pocket infinity but they nerfed the hell out of it.

Pocket Infinity used to kinda do that. Each bolt counted as a shot and could proc its perk to return ammo. It was ridiculous and amazing.
