So I got a Tao Hua Yuan with a good role, should I try it in the Crucible?
The roles are: Grenadier, Explosive Rounds, and Hidden Hand
I've never used a sniper rifle before, so far I've used fusion rifles and shotguns. I honestly don't think I would be a good sniper. I got this a while ago from a blue engram (what were the chances am I right?) after seeing the perks I'm tempted to try it, should I?

The Tao Hua Yuan is a very good beginners sniper because you can easily follow up quickly with a bodyshot if you miss the headshot. My two rolls are: Hawkeye/Shortgaze/TacSys Guerilla Fighter Hand-Laid Stock Firefly Or: Ambush Last Resort Rifled Barrel Hidden Hand.

I have one with life support explosive round and firefly with a ambush scope and let me just say it's amazing

Tacsys scope, which is bae, and will probably have the same zoom as Shortgaze and Ambush come the 12th but gives higher AA and stability. It also has Grenadier and Hidden Hand, but instead of explosive rounds it has Hand Laid Stock. So it has max stability, which is exactly what u want for a sniper of that type. I personally used to love this gun because of its Double body shot capability. But then I got a Weylorians with Outlaw, Hidden Hand (very sad. Oh well), injection mold, and ambush. It is amazing. #TitanMasterRace

I'd use it, especially since I love running double grenade builds, so grenadier is always a plus. The only thing holding it back is it can't (currently) res snipe. For 6v6 and rumble, that means nothing. And after the update Tuesday, the res shield is reduced so a wider range of snipers can res snipe. If that includes this sniper is yet to be seen. Bottom line, give it a shot. Sounds like a solid roll.

Ummm, not the best roll personally, but is a very underrated sniper. Helped me get my first unbroken, but I've always preferred high rof snipers. Give it a try though.

2 RepliesIn casual PvP, sure. You can use any rifle there and do decently. In Trials, forget it. If it can't snipe off revives, it ain't good.

2 RepliesThis roll isn't great, if you want to start sniping use the quest 1kys, it's probably the best sniper for starters atm, has good aim assist and shortgaze is a very good sight to begin with. Tau hua yuan has bad aim assist and stats overall so imo it's a bad sniper, you can also use weyloran's march with ambush, great sniper

I don't care for explosive rds on a sniper. And the scopes make a big difference. Overall, I probably wouldn't keep it, but try it out, u may like it

Personally I'd scrap that gun, but if you like it then give it a shot. If it works for you then by all means knock your socks off. I prefer the high impact snipers.

The roll blows I got sg Snapshot Hidden hand And I never use it. Doesn't kill people in super with a headshot
