Melee Attacks Don't Register! (Arcblade, Shoulder Charge, Scorch,...)
So lately (since the 2.0 patch) I'm having problems with my melee attacks. At moments where I 100% know for sure that I hit my target with my melee attack I will deal 0 damage! This is a bug since the 2.0 patch. I have seen allot of complaints about this topic so I decided to make a video about it where I show several clips where I hit my enemy with a melee attack but don't deal any damage, you should definitly watch it if you don't know what I'm talking about. This bug affected the Bladedancers the most since they have a super that revolves around melee attacks. Please share this so Bungie fixes this as soon as possible.

The crucible is in a dire state of emergency right now with the amount of things not working. Grenades not dealing damage, supers not doing damage, mellee not doing damage. It's extremely bad and yet bungie will fix a srl bug overnight because money is on the line.

This happens for me with sunbreaker melee after i shotgun and attempt to melee it does no damage and does not register. Huge issue

Melee's and Arcblade especially I've noticed, they usually work better when you aren't lagging. When your melee's that should've, didn't kill, it was probably because you were red and yellow barring..

Some of these are completely legit and bull, but others your melee didn't kill because it didn't deal enough damage or they had an oversheild. But mostly it was complete bull

I hate it when I melee someone with storm fist or sunstrike and I do no damage yet it takes the melee charge...

Bungie will never fix any problems they are to lazy as long as they are making money from people buying silver they don't give a fcking shit they will keep adding pointless junk to the game and charge you for it you will never see a dlc for free. All they release are updates for nerfing to make players use other weapons. Also Bungie will never have dedicated servers Microsoft will not allow them to have them as some of Bungies staff went to work for Microsoft so the game will never improve only get worse.

4 RepliesIs shoulder charge affected by people wearing increase armor with "blank" subclass? Many times at 300+ light I would shoulder tackle someone during IB and they would still have a small amount of health left. Even when they didn't have and over shield from an ability. Then we would kill each other with melee. -_-

It's been happening since the start but they changed something with hit detection in 2.0 which made it worse or people just learned to bunny Hop more but it's still an issue especially with the 2 roaming supers for the other classes

4 RepliesProblems i have SUFFERED from since the last patch: --- granades not working (no hit , axion darts not deploying) --- melees not registering or dealing little damage and ability not procing --- bullets dealing no damage ( blanks) or less damage --- Teleportation --- Supers missing or dealing no damage --- Players sniping me in the head from across the map while they are in the landing animation after a jump ( impossible) --- invisible forces throwing me across the map ( and me dying subsequently) The crucible is literally unplayable at the moment.

Edited by ninemil: 1/7/2016 7:12:26 PMThis is a traffic-shaping/port-blocking issue, and can be caused by the people you play with, rather than just by your own connection. I discovered this when a friend of ours started playing Destiny alongside myself and the rest of my usual clan. Latency-wise, he's on an identical connection to my son, (who physically lives less than an hour from him.) They're on different ISPs, however, and the one in question is famous for traffic-shaping pretty much any peer-to-peer app during peak hours. Literally, as soon as this guy joins our fireteam, all of my melee skills stop triggering. As soon as he leaves, they start working again. Bungie probably never knew it was a problem, because they've the common sense not to use awful ISPs. Edit: for those mentioning lag-switching, yeah - that can cause it too, because in essence, the switch is just another throttling technique, like traffic-shaping.

I can also relate. Specifically having issues when I run my Striker Titan class. Whether it be Shoulder Charge or plain melee, it feels like I have a 60% chance to land a hit in some games.

2 RepliesI honestly believe this is just lag. Ever since TTK I have noticed that there has been more lag. Might be due to all the new players but I doubt it due to all the people who have left. I have had arc blade not register sometimes and shoulder charges as well as radiance melee. The radiance melee happens more often to me than anything but that could be due to the fact that its my main and I notice it more. I wish they could have better servers. But Activision I feel prioritize CoD first when they would be making more people happy prioritizing destiny
