This is how badly fusion rifles have been ruined.
Not my video, but it shows the problem so perfectly that I felt the need to share.
Bungie needs to see this. They need to realize how badly they've jacked up an entire weapon type.
Bump the living crap out of this.

1 ReplyI lol-ed at "feet to freakin Jupiter" The dude sums it up though. Fusion rifles haven't felt the same since the patch. The way he describes shooting them now is spot on, "like trying to control its temper tantrum". Bump this "to freakin Jupiter"

The video is well thought out, but he keeps using different yet similar scenarios. There needs to be a demonstration from the exact same distance at the exact same taeget. Otherwise you are comparing apples to oranges

5 RepliesIt's funny when you shoot somebody at shotgun range with a fusion rifle and they have a slither of health left, then they proceed to kill you in one shot at the same range with a shotgun!

Never liked fusion rifles but even I know that's ridiculous I tried to use a high stability Omolon Thesan with rangefinder, and it was still horrendous. I actually managed to hit every coil on someone's body, within the effective range, and it still left the person I shot with a sliver of health.

I used to love fusions. Had to plan my shots, and hope they didn't slide shotgun me before i shot. but it was fun. now i'm better off using a shotgun post nerf. or working on my sniping. fusions don't hit for kills even near point blank sometimes.

Bump, I've been dismantling them cuz right now they're a lost cause. Why offer them in the game any more. Either fix them or dump them.

The entirety of fushion rifles in this game based on the very nature of their existence is so opposite end of the spectrum that it explains the failure of giving video game degrees to anybody who showed up at class for their passing D- grade. The weapon balance in this game is equal to the incompetence of those who maintain it. Or don't maintain it. There's a bar level standard in that maintenance. It's a bar so low a dead acne goiter stricken hooker could simply roll over that bar... and her employer would sing her praises.

It's the same even with sleeper simulant, I fire one shot and I'm practically aiming at the ceiling.

Various videos posted within these fusion rifle threads prove the difference between 2.0 and 2.1 stability while ADS. OR if you're going to insist that the ADS nerf was intended, just tell us EXACTLY how they're supposed to be used to be effective? None of the other weapons are as much of a mystery as fusion rifles, based on you guys saying that we "haven't discovered fusion rifles" yet. Please.... We don't want to hear about your design goals, we want to hear about what was actually put into the game.

They are currently on a state where they are being nerfed because one guy on the sandbox team is really good with them. Too bad they don't have anyone who is a wizard with snipers, because those things are a pain in the ass and I wouldn't mind if they got nerfed into dust, too.

[url=https://player.fm/series/crucible-radio][/url] in this recent podcast towards the end of it, Jon Wisnewski talks about how fusion rifles are supposed to work. One of my friends I play with absolutely wrecks with them. After hearing this I may give them another spin. Hope this helps.
