No. I never used sidearms before TTK and I didn't know they were good until I got the ironwreath. It sprays as fast as I can shoot and it's usually a 4-5 shot kill. I pretty much completely stopped using shotguns, played a couple games with the trials shotty but that's all. Ironwreath is my go to against shottys in trials, while my sniper is for when there's snipers. Also you can watch kjhovey if you want, he's a pretty good player and he uses sidearms often (3.0+ K/D on every character last time I checked).
