I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE CURRENT SYSTEM JUST STATING AN OPINION THAT WOULD MAKE DESTINY BETTER TO CASUALS WHO LIKE PVP MORE THAN PVE BUT ALSO REWARDS THE BEST OF THE BEST
You go 9-0
You have been marked by the Eye of Osiris
Buff: You will only play against other players who have gone Flawless this week.
Buff: Character has massive light radiating from their head (bring back Nightfall buff animation)
If you can make it to the Lighthouse again you get much more rewarding gifts from Osiris. Like elemental primary/emblems/shaders
Buff ends at reset.
133,444 went flawless.
820,986 people played.
I will bet anything it drops below 800k this week. Bungies problem. We are just going to find a new game.
This would make matchmaking much much better at puting equal groups against each other
This would make players who have never been to the Lighthouse actually want to play.
Put non flawless players vs non flawless players.
Sick of people playing just to keep others from going.
Regardless of your opinion, thanks for the bump.
Best responses
If I considered myself one of the best. This idea would really appeal to me.
Pure competition only play against the best.
But from what I'm reading in the responses it's more you want to stop others getting to the lighthouse than you want to fight competitively.
Seems pretty childish to me.

I would just like to see the best Elimination players face each other.
It would be well worth watching.
It looks like the majority of flawless people would rather stop people getting to the lighthouse than fight other flawless. #cowards maybe.

I find it funny that those who have gone flawless and replied to this post have almost universally been rude and offensive.
What's so wrong with more people getting the chance to go to lighthouse? Why are the so called "elite" so threatened by this?

I agree, it would open up more opportunities for the people who didnt go flawless, to do so. And once that happens (if i was to go flawless). Id love to play against the best of the best. Brings more intense and fun competition.

Having gone flawless: I LOVE this idea. Not only do I get to show off that not only did I got flawless that one time (emblem), but I did it THIS WEEK (flaming head).
Not only that, but now I can compete against the best of the best and not destroy the balance of Trails by continuing to compete against scrubs who are already struggling.
I'm down to make trails more accessable. I think this is brilliant.

I think if you have gone to the lighthouse, you should never play a team that has zero lighthouse arrivals. I think rewards should scale acoordingly. I dont have the time (and this pvp is dreadful) to learn the minutiae of a map while being rap3d by "elites" its bad enough i cant get a decent team for oryx hm cp.
17 RepliesEdited by Erijian: 11/8/2015 7:44:36 AMCasuals shouldn't be going to the Lighthouse in the first place. It was intended to be accessed by the better PvPers; not everyone. Stop acting so entitled. /thread

Try harder m8

8 RepliesAnd by "fair" you mean " I want to win more." Gg

6 Replies"Challenge yourself. Prove that you are the best of the best. Not the best against us casual scrubs." Take your own advice, man! Beat the flawless team. Don't rely on playing non-flawless people to get to the lighthouse. Prove that you are the best of the best.

Git gud.

10 RepliesI play trials after I go flawless to stop people from getting to the lighthouse because I like that it makes people mad and prevents them from getting good stuff... And it has nothing to do with my real life, I'm pretty set, it's just that I believe you have to be good at something to earn it, and that that principle applies to everything ... People that make the argument that they have full time jobs or go to school prevent them from putting more time into Destiny don't even have a good premise to start a sound point. You're already winning in real life, you don't have anything to gain from a virtual one.
-
no, I've been playing since this game launched and only been flawless once, but I don't want trials to be any easier the way it is now it gives me something to aim for
-
7 Replies
I just want a fair match.
You're literally asking for the opposite....

1 ReplyYou are beating a dead horse if you came to destiny for the pvp. All my friends have already left and I suggest you guys do the same. It's a huge waste of time.
-
Yup. I like how everyone's always complaining about raid elitists when in PvE people who have done it can't just decide to spawn in the middle of the Oryx fight to stomp you into the ground and keep you from succeeding.
-
4 RepliesTrials isn't about playing others of similar skill level. It's about THE BEST getting rewarded for it. If you can't beat everyone that gets put in your game YOU DON'T DESERVE TO WIN. Jesus what's so hard to understand about that.
-
7 RepliesWhy would you even play past your 10 games (for the gold bounty)? Once I'm done with my flawless I don't go back into ToO. I get my 3 guys to the lighthouse, get crap weapons that I use to infuse into my good stuff, then look forward to reset day. No reason anyone should keep playing ToO, unless you're one of those streamers who is trying to avoid getting a real job and carry noobs for money.
-
5 RepliesI go flawless every week x3 we have no strat, everyone just plays there own roll haha...
-
1 ReplyI love playing "spot the elitist PVP shitheads" in this post
-
4 RepliesEdited by dudester25: 11/8/2015 6:12:25 AMScrew that man, deny them entry, you got 9-0? Good job you win, now other people have a chance to get a team together and win legitimately, all these no life no job dudes that carry people to lighthouse are nothing less than annoying. Go outside and take in the fresh air

1 ReplyWouldn't work. What if 2 guys went flawless and decide to help their friend? Would the friend be punished by going against only flawless teams? What if it was 1 really good flawless player with 2 non flawless guys?
-
Um no
-
You're an idiot.
-
-
Could be like normal mode and hard mode raid Sounds like a good concept If you get rewards twice
-
5 RepliesThe issue isn't that these guys are that much better than you. Players like you stick to the same strategy and try to outshoot guys that sit on trials for 5 hours. You go into paths where these players can anticipate your movement which leads to a quick and easy death. It doesnt take long to figure out where guys set up positions in a trials map. Once you figure this out you can adapt and implement an effective strategy. But instead of doing this players like you just run to the same areas and poke your heads and then wonder why you can't get flawless.

I find it funny everyone saying the OP is asking for a handout. There wont be many playing trials next weekend other than the sweaty try hards who dont play anything other than Destiny.

Great idea
