I'm surprised that nobody is quoting Kotaku... They literally say there wont be any PAID expansion until fall of 2016 so for me it means no raid until fall of 2016.. I'm so sad...!
EDIT: people are saying we will get raids for free. Okay.. ^^ don't need to insult me. A free raid sounds good but too good to be true for me ^^
EDIT2: It seems that I should have added a third option : "op is jumping to conclusions" :), meaning you think new dlcs with raids will come for free. (well thanks to microtransactions). I cannot edit the poll :/ I personally don't think Activision would do that but I hear you :)

believing anything from kotaku.... lol...

1 ReplyThere's an interview Luke smith did with planet destiny , and he said don't always expect a raid to drop every year( something along those lines)
-
There hopefully be free DLC's coming. But that is an excuse for Bungie to make more crap like HoW. I'm hoping Bungie just makes good DLC's and keeps the microtransactions as cosmetic so it doesn't become Pay-to-Win
-
Well it's all technically supposition, you can't infer anything about Raids one way or another. If true, it's possible. But who can say?
-
A lot of people have already said it, but there's nothing confirmed about waiting on a new raid for a year, just that we may be getting free stories and missions as dlc. Could that include free raids? Absolutely. There's no reason to cause an uproar without concrete evidence
-
Love how you guys can twist anything into what you want it to be.
-
Corrwct, no big dlc releases until next year. Meaning no new raid until Destiny 2. Still got hard mode though, and they may redo the others but idk
-
I'm ok with this. The taken king has made destiny the complete game IMO, plenty of content to last a year - especially if they rejuvenate the old raids
-
Didn't they say we would get the fallen raid. I cannot remember.
-
Modified vault of glass and crota's end.. lvl 300 and upgraded raid gear. Shouldn't be too hard for them?
-
we are not getting anything free besides maybe some quests that will just involve grinding (but you can believe its content if you choose)
-
I think you're overthinking this one a little bit
-
Doubt this is true. But if they don't have any other DLC until next year....yeah its gonna get boring quick.
-
Kotaku is irrelevant
-
Let me wreck you with my Havoc Pigeon *___*
-
Kotaku is most likely wrong about everything (like usual) The new emotes are probably gonna be additional revenue and we'll see our regular DLC packs and maybe with the additional revenue they'll be a bit better than the lackluster TDB and HOW
-
4 RepliesIf that is true then i probably will stop playing destiny.
-
1 ReplyIt means buying silver could make the next two DLC free. As for recent Luke Smith interviews, he mentioned that Raids will come out when they are ready, they never promised one for every DLC. According to leaks, we have a cabal and a Vex DLC coming before Destiny2
-
Fine by me. If Crota's End and HOW are accurate examples of what Bungie can throw together in a short time frame then I think this is for the better. I'd rather have good raids a year apart (VOG and King's Fall) than crappy activities with difficulty cranked up to 11 in place of complexity and creativity.

I is a TadPaul
-
If that means we get free content until then, I ain't mad
-
Kotaku? The same people who claim the apple track pad is the best video game controller?
-
3 RepliesI bet the amount of time put into the raid will depend on how many micro transactions we buy as a community. In other words everyone hating on micro transactions are indirectly trying to ruin our game. Plus, the hate posts are getting kind of old in this community.

free raid sounds like wishful thinking. we didn't even get a raid when we PAID for HoW. so when we pay for nothing we think we'll get a free raid? probably not

1 ReplyEdited by iMoto Bro: 10/6/2015 3:51:50 PMFirst of all there is no "Destiny 2", not yet anyway. Do I think Bungie will make more one than one game for Activision during their 10 year contract? Yes, but it won't be a 2016 game. Bungie always spends at least 3 years developing their games. So if there is another game in the works, it won't be coming out until at least 2017 or 2018, that's assuming Bungie began working on it immediately after they finished Destiny, which is unlikely. Anyway, anyone who thinks The Taken King is the only expansion coming out until September of 2016 obviously doesn't know how Activision's business model works. They'll put out at least another two paid expansions in 2016 for $20 each or one big expansion for $40. Activision doesn't give things away for free. The free quests and stuff will be funded by the people who pay for emotes and cosmetic items.
