Jolly Holiday quest is crap
The jolly holiday quest is extremely hard, even though the reward for it is an exotic (the chaperone) I found it extremely challenging considering that the last word has been nerfed. Also the quest description said nothing about deaths in the crucible taking away progess... so not only do you have to get 100 kills in the crucible with a nerfed last word but you also have to do so while every death takes away a kill from your progress (1 kill = 1%) the quest progress also glitches quite a bit and often takes away more than 1% of progress per death and sometimes doesn't give you progress for kills... in conclusion this quest is absolutely the dumbest and most unbelievably impossible thing to do in destiny!!!

2 RepliesWatched my progress go up to 70% then back to 0 three times already keep getting matched with tryhards when it rearranges teams so I just gave up for a while ill come back to it when I can be bothered to play crucible again (I don't do it much pve is my playground) maybe when scrubs move to fallout cod or halo

I got this done in a day, the last word is not great but not bad. I used to use it all the time in year one which was glorious. You have to be good at PVP man thats basically it. You cant have a negative k.d, just be a try hard sweaty :)

3 RepliesIf you din t mind it taking forever and a day, just equip TLW at the end of a match your winning. You get percentage points for wins. If your losing, make sure it's not equipped or you'll lose ALOT

1 ReplyIt's +1% for a kill -2% for a death plus you get bonus for more kills In a row and medals and wins if you really want you can just equip it at the end of matches you know you are going to win

TLW is still broken and needs a nerf. I completed all the steps in 1 day and got the gun the next day

you don't actually have to get kills with TLW, only need to have it equipped while you get kills.

1 ReplyYou get more progress if you get sprees or if you win the game, you also get some progress if you get a kill with something else while its equipped, but more of its actually with TLW. I would suggest taking some games to get the feel of the gun, then learn the maps it's ok on. Don't use it on a large map, you will just destroy your progress. Alternatively you could wait till you get a super or heavy, equip it, get some kills then I equip it before you die. This part is real tough I spent an entire night and a half of crucible-Ing to get it. Good luck sir. [spoiler]also there is a step later for shotgun renown, but it doesn't decrease if you die.(but also only goes up from short kills.)[/spoiler]

If they've patched it then why? I'm sure I'm trying the methods explained and still getting nowhere. I'm not the best Crucible player, and I never seem to be on winning teams either, so I'm at a loss as to how I cna improve or how to improve my luck. Worst quest in the game, the Thorn one was easy compared to this, tempted to just gather together players to do free-for-alls so everyone can get it over and done with. I know that's cheating but I'm fed up of it by this point.

Get good scrub haha. No but play skirmish. That's how I did it because I found it more easier to go on kill streaks easier when it's a 3v3 playlist then a 6v6

Just enter mayhem clash while last word equipped and get some multi kills,it would be done

Use your Warlock with Stormcaller and Trancendence node Grind Control mode. Only equip TLW when you have heavy ammo and when your super is charged (plus make sure grenades + melee are also charged to have a 25 second Super ) I did it last night, best way is using the super on the enemies when they go to pick up heavy - wipe them all out then grab the heavy ammo and go kill more - then unequip TLW, rinse and repeat

Lmao at all these pre ttk hand-cannon heroes crying because they can't use the last word any more, Hahhahahahha. Top kek sons, I finished this in like two or three games. Kill people Get streaks Win Literally one of the easiest quests ever, the hardest part is waiting one week till the reset.
