Add more earth locations
We're tired of Russia. Imagine exploring a destroyed and abandoned Times Square, or wading through croc-infested swamps in the Everglades. Driving your sparrow through the cobblestone roads of London, or unearthing ancient armor in castles of France. Russia gets old, really fast. Patrol is a chore now. We have 3, soon to be 4, off-earth patrol locations. But earth is [u]home[/u], and home matters. If any bungie employees see this, tell whoever is in charge that we want more earth locations! If you agree or disagree, explain why, please.

The area immediately surrounding the City; currently includes the Twilight Gap and the new Frontier map from TTK) -An unidentified forest zone (shown in early viddocs, never again mentioned) [presumably Mumbai Push] Confirmed locations on the Moon: -Ocean if Storms -Mare Cognitum (a.k.a. 'Sea of Thought,' trans. Latin) Confirmed locations on Venus: -Ishtar Sink -Maat Mons (a.k.a. 'Soul Mountain,' or 'Moutain of Souls,' trans. 1 ReplyI want to see a defend the city wall type of patrol or gametype in this game. Would be a nice relaxing and interesting way to shoot shit vs running around in patrol all the time. Those artillery cannons at Twilight Gap are shooting at something obviously. There needs to be more PvE content. More free roam and exploration. Be able to find old relics or something that tell a story. Something. So much empty space in the patrols that are nothing more than artwork. As a Fallout player, Destiny honestly took me some time to adjust to the patrols lack of content. Adding in the Wolves made it better. Public events help. And I heard that the Taken will start popping up once the DLC drops. But it still feels like it needs something more.

1 ReplyI still think that year one could've just been earth, had they utilized it right. As it is, we are "exploring" a very small bit of area. The entirety of the patrol area isn't even the size of a state in the U.S. Year one could have been very much a defend and reclaim the earth scenario culminating in a raid that leads us to the moon for Year 2.... And so on.

I think each planet needs more locations. As I understand it, planets are pretty big. Maybe we could have jungle sections in Venus, vast catacombs beneath the deserts of Mars and crumbling cities on Earth. Also wildlife. There doesn't appear to be any besides some birds.

European Dead Zone The swamps of old Chicago (as was advertised) The Wall along the City (the Fallen are at our walls apparently, but we don't fight them) Whatever location Widow's Court would be in (it's way too pretty to not let us explore that whole city) Anyplace mentioned in lore or conversation (Mumbai, India; North America; Brazil)

By the end of Destiny (As in, 9 years from now), I hope there's at least one location on each of Earth's continents.

I'd like to see more of every location like beyond the ocean of storms on the moon, or beyond the ishtar sink on venus.
