I can't take Dead Orbit seriously
I simply cannot take Dead Orbit seriously. The whole premise of their faction is that they're running from the darkness.
New Monarchy wants to rebuild the golden age.
Future War Cult is preparing for what they feel is an inevitable war.
Why would anyone align with Dead Orbit based on their beliefs? Does anyone seriously believe in DO's mission to basically cut and run?
I'm convinced that at minimum 90% of Dead Orbit followers are only so due to the shaders and not the factional beliefs therefore I can't take Dead Orbit nor their followers seriously.
EDIT: So I actually have Revenant and have leveled DO, I just can't find reason to stick with DO...DO = Cowards has just been burned into my mind.

I like New Monarchy for their beliefs, their armor, their weapons, and their shader.

Dead Orbits thing isn't about running away from the darkness. It's about leaving behind the husk of the golden age we've been living in and finding our fortunes amongst the stars. New Monarchy wants to rebuild the world off of the golden ages bones and place a figurehead for us to follow at the forefront. Future War Cult knows that the war isn't over and we need to be prepared for when it resumes. However dead orbit has the right idea. Why stay on our decaying world. Beneath a dead God always cowering in fear that the boogeyman will come back for us. When we should be brash and brazen and journey the stars like our ancestors to seize our destiny. I like Dead Orbit but I idealize better with Future War Cult, they know this is just a respite and we shouldn't drop our guard. For when the Darkness returns we'll be ready to kick its ass
