Even though Fallout 4 will be keeping us busy soon what features would you want in the next Elder Scrolls?
For me it will be an improvement on combat and enemy AI the difficulty sliders shouldn't determine how much damage you do and receive but how enemies are "skilled" in combat. Also way more weapon and spell diversity Skyrim kinda downgraded on that.

7 RepliesI hope it builds off of Skyrim in some way. I know there's rumors regarding what they would cover and what area it would be in, but the last game was so successful I'd love to see it be effectively Skyrim 2. Become the High King of Skyrim, battle the Aldmeri Dominion. But it's not likely. Otherwise, just make the combat more complex. That was my only real gripe with Skyrim. There were ways to get creative with the combat, but you had to get a lot of high-level perks to really add some diversity to the experience. And bugs. Skyrim at launch crashed way too often. Even now I have bugged quests sitting in my inventory that I can't finish. Mammoths falling from the sky. As long as the graphics are updated, the game is at least as in-depth as the last one (it will be, because Bethesda), and I can play a Nord, I'll be happy.

Co-op - from the get go, so no need to wait for multiplayer mods to make the game more fun Mod support - after all Skyrim was fun with the custom spells, killable children, guns and spell duals

The skills from daggerfall (sooo miss climbing and breaking down doors), spellmaking from daggerfall (including the $spell glitch please), carts from daggerfall, the number of items you could wear in morrowind (including being able to mix and match paulrons/gloves), the faction system from morrowind. And the region size of daggerfall. Capes from daggerfall would be good too, and definitely add the daggerfall style dibella shrines, always made me feel like I had just interrupted an orgy walking into those. Make it adult rated.

I wouldnt mind them implementing a dye station like in eso so i can have more of a custom look to my armor. And i would like to see the return of creating your own spells.

Like Skyrim with guns

7 RepliesGet ready for a long post: Short load times Smart AI Better combat More loot oriented feel (not borderlands, but a little more reward) Couriers thinking 100 gold pieces is a lot of gold Better graphics Better dialogue

Spell casting similar to ESO. I almost always play a Mage-like character and this would be HUGE.

7 RepliesSmall multi player Not like an MMO but like 1-5 players in a massive land Randomised generation

For it to work on PlayStation lol. But seriously, more engaging combat. I can't hardly play Skyrim today because of its horrid combat.

1 ReplyEdited by Lance: 7/28/2015 2:25:12 AMA semi-engaging combat system. Skyrim's was boring as -blam!- unless you were a sneaky sniper. Also, stealth, let's have it not be possible to slap someone across the face without them noticing because you have 100 Sneak. Oh, and spell making, no idea why they removed that since Oblivion.

1 ReplyBetter combat. Incorporate some dodge and parry mechanics, and make AI use them. Combat has always been bland in the Elder Scrolls games. Enemies should do more damage, and blocking should be more effective so you don't just hammer the right trigger to win every flight. Bring back a wider variety of skills like Morrowind had. Spear, blade, blunt, and marksman should all be separate skills. Also, add a skill tree for magic Staves and bring back medium armor. ESO did that very well. Have better guild quests. Skyrims were really fun, but felt lacking compared to previous games. Still have high quality plots, but pace them a bit better, and add multiple locations for the guilds again. Bring back the depth of spell crafting and enchanting of Oblivion. Use a crafting system similar to ESO, where armor quality isn't linked to a certain aesthetic style. Just don't make motifs randomly drop, have them acquired through missions or something. Add more styles like guild motifs, falmer, and blades. Have a wider climate variety than Skyrim. Snowy mountains get old fast. Have a wider variety of mounts. We live in a fantasy world of dragons demons and cat people yet were stuck riding horses. Have cats and guars like ESO, but add more like wolves, lizards, etc. Maybe hard to unlock daedric and dwemer mounts.

The ability to adjust height and body more freely, like wrist adjusters or elbow pointyness.

- More in-depth skills like Morrowind and Oblivion had (such as acrobatics and athletics.) - As others have said, a more menacing enemy. Alduin could have been so much more, but he basically was an off camera enemy who didn't seem all that threatening compared to previous enemies. - Return/mention of Jyggalag (maybe he and Sheogorath are locked in a war between each other?) - Color! Something I felt Oblivion did very well was the vibrant colors that added life to the world. - Spellcrafting and the ability to add ridiculous enchantments to armor. - Better mounted combat. - Expanded weaponry like Morrowind. - Medium armor. - Compelling guild quests - something I felt Skyrim lacked. - Enchanted arrows. - Ability to set traps. - Companions with perks like Fallout: New Vegas had.

Edited by Vindicator5599: 7/26/2015 8:20:20 PM2 player coop, local or online, actual interactions with companions, wife/husband, and children. um some more stuff I just can't really put my finger on what.

3 Replies- Pleasant looking character models - Shelter/base building (better than hearthfire) - Compelling story (I'M LOOKING AT YOU ALDUIN)

3 RepliesCompanions that don't suck. IM LOOKING AT YOU LYDIA

3 RepliesYou see what fallout 4 is doing with building shelters? Yeah I want that. Hearthfire was ok and all, but the building options were very limited and restricted to presets. Not to mention you could only build in the Nordic style. I want to be able to place certain rooms wherever, not just in preset areas. Also placing furniture wherever I wish would be wonderful.

Edited by Dougie: 7/28/2015 1:10:51 AMWhat do I want them to add? Well, I want them to add more character customization options, make ur race count for more than what skills ur best. What I mean, is that, maybe there's a guild that only allows Dunmer or Khajiit. Or maybe, there's a guild of warriors, not the fighters guild or companions, just some wannabe guild, but they only allow male characters... What I'm saying is that I want more character depth, I want the creation of ur character to actually matter. Also, I wnt a bigger map, like maybe Akavir.... Also, I want more races... Maybe they should base it before 1E 700, so that the Chimer and Dwemer are alive, so u can choose them for ur character... I also would like Morrowind amount of skills and weapon variants.... And I want the class system back..... I also want the ability to have children, not just adopt them. Another thing, I want ur children, if u have any, to be able to grow up, and u can train them to either be a thief Mage warrior blacksmith or ur own created class, and then they can fight by ur side...... And I want a bonus to ur companions skills if they're also ur wife/husband..... But most of all, I want them to REMOVE MOTHERFUCKING FAST TRAVEL AND THE GOD FORSAKEN MOTHERFUCKING OBJECTIVE MARKERS!!!!!!!!!

2 RepliesProbably to include more skill perks, but less skill trees. Trying to force the player to make decisions that can't be taken back is all the rage.

Make food important More crafting Choices that impact other quests Better combat More interesting things to fight and make them more frequent. Some bigger enemies with weak spots for example.

Cutscenes (and animation) for talking to quest givers! They're doing it in Fallout 4, and I personally enjoyed it in Witcher 3. It's controversial, but I hope it happens.
