Totally agree. Although there are some exotic primaries that just shouldn't get elemental damage because it wouldn't make any sense. It totally works for weapons like Hard Light, Bad Juju, Thorn, and some others but I don't think adding it to every exotic would be good. In the future they could add elemental damage to some exotics in the form of a quest.
