TLW vs. Red Death against Thorn
I have Red Death and TLW and both are apparently amazing against Thron users. However they are totally separate ranges. I don't wanna spend the whole game switching primaries so which one do you think stands the best chance overall? If so, what perks?

It depends on the kind of player u r for me I like attacking and capturing the flags so I use last word

Both are good against a thorner in different situations, the problem is how often do you face just 1?

1 ReplyLong range: Red Death Close Quaters= TLW. Both can hold their own. However I prefer MIDA for long range encounters agains Thorn.

It really depends on what situations you put yourself in. The Last Word is without a doubt the single best close range weapon in the Crucible, however it does fall off at longer ranges. Red Death is an excellent medium ranged weapon but really lacks in the close quarters situations that are so frequent in the maps currently in rotation. You can put yourself in situations where Red Death will be great and will smash Thorn and TLW users easily, or you can put yourself in close situations that will destroy a Thorn or TLW. Thorn is in between close and long range, but I find it is at a distinct disadvantage towards either end of the spectrum. Combat whichever primary you choose with a secondary that will be of use in the opposite of your normal situations

red death with high caliber rounds. three shot kill. if you are close it can be two bursts to thr head.
