The Taken King, Collectors Edition, for Destiny veterans??
Hello everyone, I'm Foxxy.
I've been playing Destiny since day one, I bought the Ghost Edition for $150, and personally, I feel like I deserve, not the entire expansion for free, I'm willing to pay for that, but I think that the Collector Edition owners, both Deluxe and Ghost owners deserve all of the new physical items that you are offering with the "Collectors Edition" of "The Taken King."
I don't think it's fair for Bungie to have all of these new toys and items for sale, only to be charged an extra $80 after supporting this game since day one! The cost of both Destiny and the Taken King equals $150, that's how much I payed for this game, and that's why personally I think that Bungie should allow the special edition owners to head on into Gamestop, Target, Bestbuy or whatever, and grab not only the expansion, but all the goodies for the same price that everyone will be paying for this expansion, plus a bit extra considering the amount of money and time that Bungie has put into this expansion.
I've been talking with a few people, and most of them agree that a lower price, maybe around $60 for the people that already own the base game and the DLCs. That would allow veterans to get all the new content without wasted money, and it would allow new comers to still get the entire package in one go!
That seems fair at least. The only problem people have with the Collectors edition of The Taken King are that you are forcing us to buy the entire game over again! We already own Destiny, we don't need a second copy of both the game, and its DLC!
Please Bungie, just give us an option to buy TTK without the full game and DLC's, that would make everyone happy!

I wish if I got the digital collectors edition did cost so much because youre not paying for the physical stuff that comes with the standard collectors edition

There is already a dlc package for current expansion owners and thats all well and good. I agree with op that there should be a collector's edition for current expansion owners. As it stands there is no way to get the collector's edition items without dishing out the money for the entire package complete with game and current dlc that we obviously already have. Collector's edition for current dlc owners is a MUST. I'm fine if it costs more than the general dlc download cuz you're getting extra stuff. There just needs to be a way for us to get it without buying stuff we already own.

I think the price for TTK CE is fair at $99 Canadian, but if I already bought destiny CE for $150 which came with dlc I and II then why am I pay for destiny and dlc I and II again, for that reason they should have a cheaper option for destiny CE buyers, not because I'm elitist but because I don't need everything twice

I feel like the physical items such as the Strange coin replica, Cayde-6's journal, etc.. should have an available option to buy them in a bundle, separate of the DLCs and base game. Speaking from a vet's point of view, I don't exactly think we should get a discount, just an option to buy the CE without getting the stuff we already have. The emotes and class items are perks worthy of purchase, but not 80 dollars worth. Hopefully, Bungie will listen to this. But, maybe not. Seems like we are here as the Guardians of the wallets, not the Tower anymore.

3 RepliesNo, why do people who play games longer then others always feel so entitled. This is the same as that must have gally elitism that plagues the game. If you just want the goodies then buy the col edition, and resell the game disc for 40 bucks. There is no need or reason that because we bought the launch collec/ghost edition that we deserve this for free or at a discount.

yeah ... maybe they will make it like you get a seperate activation for each part of the game /dlcs so that ppl who own all the expansions can take takenKing for themselves and give destiny plus dlc I & II to one of their friends? it would make up for at least something
