Iron Banner Medallions to stack higher

I just went on an eight or nine loss streak in the Iron Banner. It's not an uncommon occurrence. I know I'm bad at video games, okay, I get it. So Crucible God hates me. I just wish we were compensated more for being punching bags in the Iron Banner. It's a lot of invested time, and when it takes you forever to get Iron Banner reputation, it feels really bad. I wish those Medallions of Iron would stack up to unlimited, and be worth more as a thank-you for your time. It's just very discouraging as it is, and makes me not want to play in the Iron Banner next time.

  • I agree with you completely. The system is so broken with nothing but hand cannons. When hand cannons should not shoot across the map. Some people just keep losing over and over untell they give up and I find it unfair. doghunter90

    • Just went on a seven loss streak. In addition to it just feeling really bad to lose that many matches in a row, it hurts to not be compensated above five Medallions. I've learned I can deal with three losses to one win. Anything over that starts to feel increasingly discouraging. That's why proper compensation is important. If not, people will not want to be punching bags in the Iron Banner any longer. And the Iron Banner needs players, good and bad. To those who will blame me for losing all of those matches: No. You will notice there are six people on a team, and it takes an entire team to win or lose. Sometimes I'm in first place, sometimes I'm in the middle, sometimes I'm last. It doesn't seem to affect the outcomes. Enough of the victim blaming.

      • I've never lost more than 3 games in a row, and one of them I always joined in late

Worth more? A loss is already worth 80% of a win. I think that is very generous as it is. [Edit] Don't think I don't appreciate you punching bags in IB. I really do.

      • Well, I finally got to Iron Banner level 5 on one character early this morning, so it worked out. It's not so bad if you can manage a 5:1 win ratio, so you're not wasting precious Medallion of Iron slots. The problem is just when you're going way over that, it gets feeling a little rough. So my request for more slot space still stands. I realized I quite enjoy playing in the Iron Banner tournament, even on bad games. Having a fire under my butt, with the promise of great rewards, is something I definitely don't get from the regular Crucible (and rightly so). Also, is it just me, or is regular Crucible even harder than the Iron Banner? Maybe it's the extra caution everyone is using in the IB, whereas death isn't as big a deal in the consequence-free Crucible. I'm hoping to do the Iron Banner next time for one of my other characters. It would just be more encouraging if the tournament acknowledged all of my hours spent. Thanks!

      • Bounties is the key to advance. I win about 20% of my games so completing Bounties is key. Plus getting on a team that knows what they are doing is key. Staying alive is the best way to win. Don't be a lemming that just runs to his death over and over, though it is fun. Plus each game is unpredictable. One match I'm the king of the world the next I cant shoot an elephant standing in front of me to stay alive. So bounties every day and you will get to at least level 3 or 4 by the end of the week on 1 or 3 characters. Whether you win or lose a game. That should get you an etheric light and some gear at least. Thanks for playing bro.
