Should Etheric Light be easier to get?
I have seen many post about the whole Etheric Light situation and I wanted to see what the overall community thought about Etheric Light being easier to get.

3(34, 35, silver tier, Gold Tier, Lighthouse, maybe nightfall) You can get an easy 12 EL per week, assuming that you can't get to the Lighthouse

7 RepliesPersonally I believe more ways to get etheric light from PvE is more important. If you go flawless in ToO you can acquire 3 etheric light. You can acquire 2 etheric light in iron banner. In PvE you can get 2 from PoE and a chance to get 1 in nightfalls. This is a problem that needs to be addressed.

5 RepliesYes and the reason is simple. In order to ascend exotics to year one all you need is an exotic shard. These can be purchased on the cheap from Xur. Bungie seems to have no issue with us ascending exotics and makes it very easy to do so. Why then should legendaries be any harder to ascend? Why make etheric light so rare?

No.. its easy enough to get and once you get around 25 you no longer need anymore unless you're a gay horder and Like to upgrade crap that you will never ever use Each of my characters has used over 10 etheric light.. and I have 20 in the vault that I will probably never use unless they're required in th3 next dlc

It is easy to get, I have upgraded all vault and crota weapons and gear and and them a good amount of random vanguard and crucible stuff and still have 37

It's easy enough to get. I've leveled almost all my weapons & armor and have 9 etheric at the moment.

Then you'd end up getting a ton and all legendaries will be as powerful as exotics. Ruins the speciality of exotics.

Let's just wait to see what kind of trading system they'll have. I'm sure none of you guys care about legendary engrams because we know that raid armors have increase special ammo/heavy ammo, and the weapons don't matter since they drop like candy from 28 strike / crucible with reforge. I'd like to see them get traded in for reputation, trading in 5 to get a potentially higher roll of the stats on your armor (not changing the base stat it already has, just a chance at higher or lower numbers). hell i don't even know. screw all the weapons, fatebringer VoC shotties blackhammer icebreaker ffs.

12 RepliesIt's not hard to get. I've surplus without doing nightfall on every character or even bothering to do PoE 34 and 35 every week let alone on every character

1 ReplyDepends on what you mean by easier. While most will get 2 a week from 32 or 34 Prison of Elders, some will get an extra one from Skolas. Then there's the possibility from Nightfalls and two with Iron Banner when it comes around (one from rank 3 and 5 each). Doing this with 2-3 characters could get about 5-7 etheric light a week, maybe more with nightfall.

No they are already easy enough. I think you could add a chance for light at the end of crota and vog but otherwise its all good. Its already to easy for a new player to be 32 in a week and 34 in 2 to 3 weeks of buying the game. Wheres the struggle us founding guardian's went through. And now theres also so many exoctic chances per week to. Make people put in the time like all the original people did. Feel the pain of multiple raids and not getting that last armor drop. If you run 3 characters it very easy to get etheric light. So get out there guardians put some effort into it and reap the results. Just saying
