Getting light level 34 was more then easy in this DLC.
Also didn't help everything is now level 32 by default, thanks bungie for making out raids once again count as nothing.

Lol this is why I never raid(been playing since beta) and never bothered leveling up after reaching level 30 during the last dlc. Now to level up I just needed to buy 2 prices of armor and ascended my exotic titan chest peice. Something told me that bungie would make things simpler.

Because you went for the direct option. Try and make a full set of VoG gear at level 34. Not nearly as easy.

max level is supposed to be easy. This dlc is focusing on rewarding the player for playing, not forcing them to play for a number. Use that damage buff to grab some more loot, shard what you don't like, reroll your favorites until they're perfect, ascend your old treasures, and make friends to play the new end game activities with.

Nope, it's really just for looks and for the specialized perks for fighting the hive faction now far as in concerned. I never expected them to make crota raid gear matter in the next dlc just based on past history. I didn't much bother with the new raid after playing it a few times since I knew the time spent would be pointless.
