A heavily flawed game, but I've been able to enjoy it greatly. It's above average at best.

By improvement I want more missions with 3rd person view. Sword of Crota is fun and unique. And you actually get to see how you look :)

I'd like the pvp kills to happen faster... I'm tired of getting kills after I should be dead and visa versa only problem I have...

Thoughts: Love the game. Room for improvement definitely is there but I have spent enough time loving Bungie games to give them the benefit of a doubt here. Improvements: 1. Put the Grimoire in the game, similar to Mass Effect's codex. Could be next to the inventory screen or in the Speaker's library. 2. We need the ability to quiz our ghost with all the questions a long-time-dead person would have. Give scientific answers, even far-out ones. e.g. What is the nature of the Traveler's "Light" and how it affects the physical universe. How did I die, etc. 3. More cutscenes with dry humor between our Guardians and our Ghosts. Need to build a relationship there, so we players get invested in what happens. 4. Give us more than one hub. The City's central government district and the Reef would be good hubs to complement the Tower and give the game the space-age scale it needs. Yes, scale: the feeling of awe you got from looking up at a Halo ring in the sky or from looking out a window on Mass Effect's Citadel. 5. Old Chicago, Mumbai Push, European Dead Zone, etc etc 6. Rare events in which our hubs come under attack. 7. Varying weather conditions. Earth: rain and snow. Moon: meteor showers that can ding your shields due to grain-sized impacts. Venus: extra-hellish hurricaines. Mars: dust storms and dust devils. 8. A Sparrow-race playlist 9. More varied boss mechanics in Strikes. 10. A firefight playlist. 6 players with matchmaking and waves of enemies.

Stop blindly defending what happened please? It's beyond ignorant at this point. If you've watched the ViDoc's, played the game and have working brain cells it doesn't take much to see that the story has been chopped to bits. They sold shirts for two factions that didn't even make the launch disc. They either ran out of time and Activision forced them to launch an incomplete product or it was intentionally done to create more revenue off of DLC and the story suffered because of that. I love a lot the aspects of this game. The core gameplay is tight and fluid. The graphics are amazing and make the unbelievable skyboxes and environmental details pop. But the story is a disappointment in its current form. I will continue to support Bungie's work, I bought the Limited edition, so I'll be playing through the DLC. But as a consumer my expectations have been tempered.

I do love this game. There are quite a few things that make me wonder why the decision was made for it or if something was lost in translation somewhere. Like some of the people I have talked to, I did not follow the development of the game. I knew it was in the works after bungie split from Halo and then I bought it on release day. It has a lot of potential and I want to believe that it will grow into a great game, but I keep seeing a lot of people who are disappointed or frustrated with the state of the game on release. Any point you could make about the faults of the game so far have been beat to death by others so it doesn't require repeating. Here's to hoping that the first month of the game was rock bottom and it can only get better.

By "Theres room for improvement" I mean specifically, it is a 10 year game with multiple DLCs and games included. I enjoy the game, love the grimoire card system. Perfect is a myth.

Oh, look... a sensible post. Haven't seen one of these since the last time I posted a poll XD. "There are a lot of flaws, but it's still fun" gets my vote. I've been trying to support Destiny and Bungie with money and good word of mouth since I heard about it. I've even been trying to encourage people to trust Bungie. [u]Admittedly, it's harder and harder everyday.[/u] Bungie keeps up a shroud that makes any decision to support them an exercise in faith. I can't reasonably keep encouraging people to trust them when they ignore so many concerns of the community. And don't address the doubts that people have. Perhaps they're handling it in the best way possible. Perhaps not. For now... all I can do is to trust them; and for now I do. They haven't done anything to outright ruin my faith. If they flop this game and community, then they have one chance to keep my trust by addressing it and proving their competence in their next project. But I still trust that they will listen to the community, and support this game for years to come. [b]The core of the game is excellent. All the mechanics are solid, and the systems are well designed. But they need a lot of adjustments.[/b] [u]And my main complaint is the lack of content.[/u] A lot of people say that those of us complaining about content are something akin to "no-lifes". And frankly, per some peoples values, I and others probably are. But regardless of anyones values, the "no-lifes" are the key to the long term success of Destiny.[u] Bungie needs people that get on every day; that grind out the best gear; that are the first to find and report bugs; and to help balance out the systems. And most importantly, to populate the game world; and to be the bad-donkeys that they want the rest of the community to aspire to.[/u] I've logged a bunch of hours in this game. And loved every one of them! Each hour was filled with fun, solid gameplay. I've got around 80 hours. Problem is... I'm the type who usually gets hundreds. CoD: WaW- 24 days of play time. Terraria- 800 hours Minecraft- thousands of hours Battlefield BC 2- 800 hours Guitar Hero- hundreds of hours Skyrim- 700 hours Halo Series- thousands of hours and countless other games, of all genres, with similar play times. So if I'm only getting 70 hours out of Destiny at launch... that doesn't bode well for the length of time the average Joe will want to put into it. [b]But I trust Bungie not to let me down. I trust Bungie to satiate my hunger for their unique style of games. And to make me another fantastic franchise.[/b] Fingers crossed they don't -BLAM!- up. XD

Things that must be fixed/added by order of importance: 1. More game modes: pve arena, duels, etc. 2. More weapon variety and better/more meaningful attributes on weapons/gear...why aren't there stats for the cloaks? 3. Matchmaking for all pve activities 4. Give us the option to go straight to the tower when we finish activities instead of having to go to orbit first The game is great otherwise, and I'm sure like diablo and borderlands it will be even better after a couple of updates. The first dlc should be free though.

Honestly hovered between this game is great but room for improvement and there are a lot of flaws but it's still fun for a good 5 minutes. I don't know what is considered a lot so i went with the former.

Personally i think Destiny is a great game, but yes it has room for improvement. I also think it has great potential, if people stop giving Bungie and Activision a hard time. Look at the facts between them Bungie and Activision have been behind some of the best games ever released and some of the biggest sellers of previous generations. Halo in Bungies case, and the Tony Hawks pro skater series in Activisions. These of course are the titles that brought the respective companies into the notice of us gamers. However a look at the more recent generations of gaming is more revealing where Activision is concerned, as in recent years they have had a hand more and more successful gaming franchises.

Love the game, hate how short it is, even though I know its going to get bigger, a lot of people arent patient, Im not either. Too much griding after you finish the story, the strikes get boring, especially how they even re-use the same maps, and story does that as well. The biggest problem for me is, there isn't much...well....space. The same places are used over, and over again, the same enemies accompany the same places, over and over again, story and strikes become redundant. Of course there are some nice, new, "only for this mission" maps, which are nice, because GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!??!? ITS NEW! Endgame = VoG which means more grinding, just to get to it. The light system is pretty smart, and as annoying as it gets, its quite fair. Now, what I hate the most, still have to do with the maps...and events, i.e The Queens Wrath. Its an event, Halo, bungie game, so Im using that, HALO, that had all different maps, spread out throughout the whole game, some, not even needed, and that might sound bad, and it might have been for Halo, but for Destiny, thats what we need. MAPS! New, and exciting, unexplored maps, for events. Not doing the same thing, over, and over, and over, and over, (and I probably should stop wiht the "over" thing) and over again...

Now im thinking of all those people who said "Most people hate this game" suck it. Polls dont lie (much)

This game could be much better than what it is right now. Theres just so much stuff missing to keep me playing. Theres not many exotics/legendaries or exotics/legendaries that really stick out. They dont feel like anything special or worth spending the time to get. Now i enjoy grinding, but this game just doesnt have enough items or build options to make it fun, the repetitive game play isnt even fun like other grind fest games. Wheres set items or items with SPECIAL abilities that really make the items stick out. In borderlands, theres sooo many weapons/items with abilities that actually seem special. In diablo, theres sooo many builds to choose from for each class. Phantasy star universe: aoti, the tower is much more social and organized with easy access to everything. In destiny, all the weapons do the exact some thing, all the builds are the same, the tower is just depressing and boring. You can find blue pulse rifles with almost the same abilities of the bad juju! The thorn is nothing different than any other hand cannon. Assault rifles are all the same too. When this game first came out i was excited, i couldnt wait to play it, but the lack of content and gameplay is disappointing. You guys had the right ideas, but im not seeing them and i dont think this game is worth my time as of patch 1.0.2.

It really is fun! You just have to forgive it for a few reasons first.

If they'd fix the constant errors and disconnects I'd be happy with it.I can't even play right now and it sucks. Errors every few minutes.

Definitely an awesome and fun game for what it is. I think the trouble with a lot of people, is that they're comparing what the game actually is to what they thought/what it could have been. If you take it at face value, it's an enjoyable experience. That being said, there's certainly improvements that can be made. I would personally really like the story to be fleshed out more, as the universe of this game seems very interesting and cool.

The game has so much potential but as of right now, its just not there. The game is fun and all, don't get me wrong. But its simple stuff thats left out that keeps it from being great. We just need more to do. Whats wrong with a 6-man Survival mode on some planet? Matchmaking for Daily Heroics and all 3 levels of Weekly Strikes? Leave non-matchmaking for Raids and Nightfall. What about the option for users to opt in for voice chat across PVE/PVP aside from being in fireteams. Give us that option.

They will start seeing the flaws all of these post point out and fix or not fix them if small and stupid but other then that I can still have fun with this game. It's sad though, my enthusiasm is starting to go away a little for this game. Hoping it will come back. This game has so much potential.
