I do love this game. There are quite a few things that make me wonder why the decision was made for it or if something was lost in translation somewhere. Like some of the people I have talked to, I did not follow the development of the game. I knew it was in the works after bungie split from Halo and then I bought it on release day. It has a lot of potential and I want to believe that it will grow into a great game, but I keep seeing a lot of people who are disappointed or frustrated with the state of the game on release. Any point you could make about the faults of the game so far have been beat to death by others so it doesn't require repeating. Here's to hoping that the first month of the game was rock bottom and it can only get better.

  • What aspects do you think could be improved upon that would help some feel less frustrated. Are you particularly frustrated?

  • Sorry. Thought it was a different thread. Well, i see the points everyone makes but i also come from an MMO heavy background so the drop rates didnt bother me. They did a pretty good job of fixing the engram conversions on decryption. Changing how exotic bounties are handled, as in not forcing pvp or pve and providing alternate routes for obtaining the exotic if desired. Matchmaking inclusion on the vault of glass. Ranking system for pvp. Im still holding out that the dlc will take all the feedback, both positive and negative, into consideration and put a coherent and connected story arc together. The story for the base game is so scattered and disconnected that I just cant immerse in to the world like i can with other games. I do love this game, its evident in the fact that I play everyday. However, it has a ways to go to turn the tide of the vocal crowd that makes their displeasure so apparent.

  • I also think that the DLC may address a lot of the issues. Regarding matchmaking for raids, how do you appease those who fear having people in the raid that really aren't ready for it?

  • There are several systems that you could work with. Allow the matchmaking to be an option that can be turned on and off. Create a ranking system of some sort to match experienced groups with experienced players. Include filtering options to narrow down the search. Make a system where players go to the tower and then the group looking to raid, the players looking for a raid group, or both, can set an option of looking for a rais group. People can then search a menu for raiding. Here is my idea for the above: 1. A player sets themselves to looking for a raid group. They are then listed in a searchable menu that the raid leader can access. This menu displays raid related experience and stats. The raid leader can then select. 2. A raid leader sets an option that the raid is looking for a player, or players. This can have options of only showing up for the designated level of player desired by the leader. If a player who is looking for a raid group searches the menu for raids, and meets the requirements set by the leader, he will then have the option of sending an invite request after viewing raid stats of the leader. The leader then can look at any incoming invitations and choose the accept/reject. After the required players have been picked up for the raid, the raid group will be removed from the raid search menu to prevent further invite requests from spamming the leader. Also, if denied, a player cannot send another request as long as the raid group is still posted in the raid search. That is, until they gain the required party and are removed from the raid search. I personally think both options would be awesome. In the end, i want matchmaking but not like what we see now. I want it to be an option and to allow more control from the player end. as of now, the matchmaking for strikes is completely random and has no feedback, so you get a lot of times where you are in a strike with an AFKer.

  • Sounds good. At least you took the time to think out actual suggestions. I think those are fair and workable ideas.

  • You can put all the time you have into a detailed suggestion but when it comes to seeing it implemented, thats a whole other story.

  • I know. I'm really going to try to get this entire thread seen. There's a wealth of good stuff in here!
