View How Much Damage you did on the Boss (Strikes/Raid)

Title pretty much says it all. I think it'd be cool where at the end of the game where you see who got how many kills, your rewards, progress, etc... that we'd get to be able to see who did the most damage on the boss (but still show the damage of the other people too). Now, this excludes total damage on all enemies, and miniature bosses like The Devil Walker. The bosses I mean are like The Archon Priest, Valus T'Aurc, etc. I mean, why not? It'd be nice to see who did how much damage. EDIT 1: And if you support this, then please take a few seconds of your time to bump and like the thread in order to keep it popular.   • I'm on both sides of this I wanted it cause it would be cool but then it's bad cause if a person only went after adds or played spawn bitch to help the other two it would make them look bad if they did very little damage to the boss in the stats

  • Get the hell outta here. PvE isn't a competition and just showing damage out isnt an indicator of who did best. All it turns into is an epeen fest instead of who did what properly.

        I disagreed, and here's why: All this stupid bull$hit about who 'earned' their guns would reach a whole new level of autism the likes of which have never been seen on the internet. Let's say you carried the freaking team through the raid. You never went down, and you were always there to revive your fireteam when they would wipe. You held gates open solo, used the relic most effectively whenever you picked it up, generally kicked ass and looked awesome doing it. But... Being such a good team-player, you often weren't able to devote your full attention to the boss. Killing Supplicants and Hobgoblins and Minotaurs, and generally cleaning up baddies and keeping them from killing your team while they hit Atheon, took up a good deal of your time. Make no mistake, without you, your team would have never made it to the end. You had the most kills by far, and you kept everyone alive. You are the strongest player, just not the one with the most damage on the boss. Imagine the magnitude 12 toxic $hitstorm that would ensue when RNGesus smiled on you and dropped Mythoclast in your lap. Your mic and inbox, as well as the forum, would be filled with messages a little like this: "Wow! You didn't even do hardly any damage to the boss! How come this fu¢kin' scrublord gets Mytho, when I got the last shot on Atheon? Fu¢k that guy!" Etcetera, etcetera, ad nauseum, etcetera. This is a bad idea. Everyone thinks they want this, but if Bungie were ever to implement such a feature, there would be no end to the bit¢hing. It would only serve to further toxify this already vitriolic community.

        • I'd like to see this implemented, but [i]only[/i] as a personal record, and not as a comparison with other people in the same mission. To that end, showing a nice, detailed breakdown of my stats per mission on the website or the app, say 5-10 minutes after the mission is over, would be a nice support feature to add. To add it as an immediate, post-game comparison between players is a terrible idea.

          • Bungie needs to take a leaf out of Left 4 Dead's book when it comes to mission intensity and the stats they display afterwards. Some left 4 dead type special infected type enemies might be cool too

            I disagree. I often find myself in runs with people who tunnel the bosses. Even in VoG, I will find myself picking off supplicants during time's vengeance so we don't get 4 corpses as people bail from the central block. Encounters in this game are very add heavy. With the exception of the fallen walker, the adds present infinitely greater threat to your team than the boss, despite the boss needing to be down to end the encounter. People who choose to be team players rather than tunnel a boss, thus making an encounter successful, should not have that count against them as yet another stat for people to "armory troll". Signed, someone who keeps peeling 4 stealth vandals off "ye boss-happy rocketeer" in the archon priest fight.

              • What's the point of an individual stat in a team focused game? All it would allow people to do is divide players. So now now to raid you will be required to do 1.5k dps or higher. There's just no point. At all. Why do you need a gold star to know know you individually did? Did you complete it or not? That's how you gage it. So now people will just shoot the crap out of a boss and ignore all the adds. Why not? My damage meter will look good at the end. Then you can say "your all scrubs look at my damage" when in reality it was you who ignored all teamwork to hit a high damage number. Don't give people an individual stat to shoot for in a team focused game. They will then shoot for that goal regardless of the team. Don't believe me? What's more important to people Your kill to death ratio or kdr Your win loss ratio or wlr

                        I personally don't think it's necessary to be honest with you. Even though the PvE content is geared more towards co-op, something like this will only bring a very bad competitive taint over it. Mass Effect 3 had this with it's own "leaderboards" for MP, and certain things became absurd because of it. I think contributions should effect the rewards you get, and just leave it at that.
