Get rid of radiant materials and commendations
The new radiant materials are killing Destiny. If they aren't gone soon, I can't see myself continuing to play. There is one way to get them, and that is Crota's raid. You can get maybe 4 or 5 a week with a character if you're lucky. Needing 21 of them to upgrade anything makes this an extreme amount of grinding. But worse than that, the introduction of these materials has devalued all other game content. All those ascendent materials are now utterly useless. Any activity that awards them is a complete waste of time. Instead of giving us more to do, the DLC has given us much, much less to do with these new currencies and materials that are only relevant to a single DLC activity. Make it worthwhile to run both Crota and VOG in a week. Those of us left playing this game do so because there were elements of it we still found fun, and wanted more. Taking all of those away from us just to make sure no one hit 32 too quickly was a horrible choice. Throwing away the entirety of the launch game for a very small portion of DLC is a bad decision. It might help sell DLC short term, but is going to drive players away long term.
Please fix. Just scrap the new currencies and slap any designer in the future that suggest creating any more new ones.

3 RepliesKeep raid mats, but I agree scrap commendations, I'm Vanguard rank 11, and I'm sure many people are equal or higher. I wish we would've been given a heads up or warning in advance.

7 RepliesThey did it that way because they knew people would cheese the raid, c using 3 characters for one set of gear, that not the point of the game and completely unfair to players who use all 3 characters

2 RepliesRanked up Dead Orbit last night before signing off. I received: Venation III (TDB upgraded version) Dead Orbit hand Canon (which is a beast BTW...) 3x Ascendant Shard 1x Crucible Commendation I don't do Crucible. I used to, waaaaaaay back when I thought it was necessary to level out a character the fastest. But I don't go there anymore unless it's required by an Exotic Bounty. I've had the same 31 Crucible Marks for months now... I will never use this Crucible Commendation. I will never use it, I cannot get rid of it, and it's only eating up valuable space in my Inventory/Vault. These new Commendation currencies are bullshit and completely unnecessary. They need to go away, Bungie. The old currencies were just fine. Your arbitrary roadblocks to force us to consume your (lack of) content slower is an autocratic disaster.

I fine with the removal of Radiant Materials. The commendations make sense; and should prolly stay, BUT the experience required to get them should maybe be lowered.
