Keep raid mats, but I agree scrap commendations, I'm Vanguard rank 11, and I'm sure many people are equal or higher. I wish we would've been given a heads up or warning in advance.

The commendations just slow down an already slow process. They aren't as bad. But the new mats devalue the entire game with the one single exception of Crota's raid. Those are indeed the real problem. Giving us only one worthwhile thing to do once a week is a huge problem.

Commendations slow things down? I can't find any use for them and am sitting on 6 already. Want to trade...oh wait, that's right, nevermind.

Well, if you actually trying to use them, they do. I suspect you have them piling up because new vendor items aren't ever worth buying, because only the new raid gear can actually improve a character. I also suspect you are diligently doing bounties, which allows you to have commendations keep pace with earning marks.
