I think it's good enough. All of the new ARs (minus the Vanquisher) have the same ROF/impact builds. Unless the Vanquisher had field scout perk, it is on par with the new ARs just due to the mag size. I think the Abyss Defiant would be meh, if not for the solar damage. With it, it is awesome. Probably not on par with the VoC but with the anticipated DLC damage increase, it will outclass the VoC due to obvious reasons. In conclusion, it may not be the end all be all, but with the elemental damage, definitely better than almost all ARs in game.
