I decided to start putting any legendary weapon or armor engrams in the vault, and then decrypt them when dlc comes out instead of scrapping them for shards or energies now. Anyone else doing this?

You have bank space? What is this sorcery?!
-
Nope. I don't have enough vault space

To everyone saying this doesnt work, its still a good idea simply because youll be able to power level your cryptarch which will in turn give you dlc packages with chances for new legendaries

I tried this with the current DLC and I got all old stuff. Only thing its good for is getting cryptarch packages from upgrades. It's basically a waste of time.
-
Good luck with that.

Edited by sgtsagara02: 1/12/2015 4:36:34 AMI can't remember where I read it but it stated that when you find an engram that RNG has already picked what it is and that going on the cryptarch simply shows you what it is. So what your going to get is already decided before the cryptarch decrypts it. Not sure how true that is but it kinda makes sense seeing that you can't save them for after the update.

Doesn't work. Bungie already said this so don't bother.

Probably be like last time, anything you get now won't break down into the new, it will still be what you would get now for it

It doesn't work

You get old gear when you decrypt them.
