Everyone can have their own opinion. But every time I read an review like this I can't help but wonder if they know what type of game they are playing. Even if it has FPS mechanics this is looter. Anyone who has played Borderlands, Diablo, or Wow knows this is standard fare. You go through a myriad of usless loot to get the one item you want or need, when you go to the next level or when the cap is raised all the gear you had becomes useless. It is about getting the newest stuff. When you go from Normal to Nightmare in Diablo, you don't drop back down to Normal for loot, it is pointless. Its the same thing with Crota's End and the VoG. I don't see how people can't understand that. The same thing with the combat and people bad mouthing the AI tactics. Again standard fare in these types of games. the AI swarms trying to overwhelm you, you have your fodder and them some specials. So in my book the people who have a problem with this just don't like this genre. Maybe they didn't do enough research. They saw Bungie and guns and assumed this was a new Halo. It isn't. Its an MMO/FPS hybrid. If the MMO structure doesn't appeal to you then you aren't going to enjoy this game.
