Will you buy Destiny 2? - discussion.
well will you? based on the way they've treated the franchise and it's userbase thus far.....
please state why or why not.
let's all have a healthy discussion about this game and it's future...we get to decide it after all....we'll talk with our wallets!!
personally i am done with this franchise after House of Wolves comes out.....never have i ever been so disappointed in a game as i have been with Destiny. and what makes it worse is the sheer lack of content and lack of variety in the little content we did receive.
everyday we play over the same missions and bounties, and the DLC has not lessened that monotony.
any other game that would hve shipped with the little content that Destiny had shipped with, would have been ridiculed by the press. but wonders never cease in the gaming industry.
Destiny short-changed us plain and simple.

I would buy it if they gave everyone the same content. The idea of platform exclusive is stupid and out dated. Why to alianate a crap ton of people. This is a lesson on how NOT to market your product. They won't care because they will still make a ton of money........but they could make More if they rethink this huge snafu.

I preordered mine 1 Week before E3, now I chancelled it after E3. Why? easy I´m a Xbox player the last Content for Destiny1 is still not out, why pay the same as a PS4 Player for way less Content, thats just plain stupid. I whould love that no Xbox Player will buy it, if Bungie loose 30% of sales. They might learn that Sony Money is not enough, i don´t know. It´s just frustating to wait 1 Year for Content to come out. 3 Mounth whould be okay for me, but 12 ? They rly don´t want any PC or Xbox players, so make it Sony exclusive! hf

They expected me to jump to ps4 just to play an expansion that would have easily played on ps3. They took away the website interface for managing inventory for the folks that helped to make destiny the success it was. The story was non existent. "I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain." What the hell was that. It's a brand new IP. You better make time to explain. I may pick it up down the road. But, it's not likely. I used to play the game a lot. Grinded up all three characters to at least 333. For what? They took away Iron banner and trials. The only modes where light level even mattered. Now, we are gonna get to battle the same enemies with some red paint splattered on them. It just looks tired and out of ideas. I have not played in weeks because I have just lost interest. I am gonna wait and see. It's not looking very appealing as of yet.

1 ReplyI really really don't want to buy destiny 2. I played 700+ hours of Destiny, all along feeling like it was going to get better. I just don't like the commitment of sinking that much time in for nothing. I don't like the missions you can do once a month for a gun practically required to raid high end content. If enough of my friends are bugging me to play I most likely will since there isn't a ton of co-op games with a lot of content. I do hope it's better than Destiny 1 but it really bothers me that nothing from the 700 hours I put in is carried over might as well create a new IP/ game at that point calling it Destiny 2 is a slap in the face. I would feel better about going back to warframe personally.

You have to pre order for beta lol, the hole point of beta Is to check the game out before buying but the greed of Activision knows no bounds, It screwed over everyone by ripping apart a full game and selling It to us In pieces as dlc's, they took away all your loot and guns just to sell them back to us, the only game I have ever bought that was not a full game, 160 dollar game with all dlc's and no real story. The truth Is we were Suckered Destiny 1 was the Beta and we paid good money to test It for them so they could develop Destiny 2

I'm tired of going into crucible with a n internet connection that costs me over $100 a month just for gaming and still get people teleporting all over the map and dying 5 secs after you kill them and registering super late. Most of the "good" Trials players either use moded controllers (not allowed by bungie), lagswitches (not allowed by bungie) or lately ddosing people,. There you are in queue for the match and you see 2 green bars, 3 on your team and 1 horribly low red bar on the other team always on first position and you use, supers, shot guns, headshots with snipers and nothing. It gets annoying. Very few are actually skilled. Not only that, they have made a lot of money with the micro-transactions and still can't get their own servers to improve the game. Rise of Iron was fun but kind of a rip-off with all the reskin that they put in the game. I love the game but I feel like Bungie really could care less about their players. They are very greedy, lie about banning people witch I encounter daily and have great promos, but end up disappointing with what they deliver ( like politicians :) ). I feel inclined not to buy it and wait to see if they fix all their errors from Destiny 1. Time will tell, in the meantime I will focus on other games when Destiny 2 comes out and after reviews from trusted sites and friends, I might buy or just say bye to Bungie for good.

What i discovered was a few things. One, after i had everything in the game... all the cool armor, weapons etc. on all 3 toons.... i couldn't find anything to do with it, it seemed that i was just in it to collect loot. PVP too, my kd was above 2.0 on all 3 chars, i did well every iron banner, but i didnt want anything anymore.. .and when i stopped chasing gear... i couldn't find a reason to play anymore... Thats ok, i enjoyed the journey, but the base problem persists. What really is there to do in this game that is actually fun, leaving rewards aside. The game is INFINITELY more fun to play with others. Without friends to do the nightfall/raid with, (most of my friends left before prison expansion, due to sbmm in pvp and never ending high pings people connected with) more needs to be done to help players find like minded people to play with IN GAME.

5 RepliesNope Destiny was a con job. I want one person that's not an idiot to honestly tell me he got the game he was told he would get. We did not get the game we were hyped. This game I assure you has even put me in the position of never pre ordering another game for the new generation consoles. I will let others buy them review them then decide. The developers are interested in the bottom line. Fine...but I'm the consumer...you made a mistake doing what you did with game and I'll react accordingly. No pre orders.

No. As of this Friday I will be purchasing my second next gem game and will devout my time solely to it. Destiny ate up my time that's for sure but it became a grind for unworthy rewards bordering on OCD more than a fun immersive experience. Goodbye Bungie, you have scorned me like Bethesda.

2 RepliesThey definitely made a ton of mistakes with Destiny 1.0, but I'm not quite ready to throw the baby out with the bath water. I'm definitely not going to preorder (though with the exception of preordering the HoW DLC I couldn't tell you the last time I preordered a game). I'll probably take a look at the changes to Destiny and if it seems worth buying I will. Even with how disappointing destiny 1.0 was, I still enjoyed the game and still more then got my money's worth.

I might buy destiny 2 but I will not be preordering it that's for sure, I will agree it is a great game with fun gameplay and a nice variety. However it most definitely is not that game I was hyped about, going into it i believed it was going to be like an open world type game but all the planets feel very confined and closed off, I think if they could improve anywhere they should work on there environment and how to make it at least feel bigger so I don't feel like I'm trapped

I probably will buy it. Based off the fact that although this game is seriously lacking I do enjoy it and I've put in well over 200 hours into it. so I've had my money's worth. Hopefully they'll learn from the mistakes they made in this one and make the next better. I'll tell you that i won't be buying any more of the dlc for. Destiny 1 though.
