I really really don't want to buy destiny 2. I played 700+ hours of Destiny, all along feeling like it was going to get better. I just don't like the commitment of sinking that much time in for nothing. I don't like the missions you can do once a month for a gun practically required to raid high end content. If enough of my friends are bugging me to play I most likely will since there isn't a ton of co-op games with a lot of content. I do hope it's better than Destiny 1 but it really bothers me that nothing from the 700 hours I put in is carried over might as well create a new IP/ game at that point calling it Destiny 2 is a slap in the face. I would feel better about going back to warframe personally.

Further more, I hate how the missions you can only play 1 day a month to get said raid requirement guns are later just handed out to everyone because it was "difficult" everytime I put in some serious effort to be max light level it felt like the task became stupidly easier later, making the feat seem less impressive than it was. I understand light level will raise with newer content but sometimes they just nerfed challenges for no reason
