Should people be randomly teleported during Atheon fight?
So.. The latest community update says they are going to make it so that 3 people are chosen randomly instead of the 3 furthest away from him.
Basically a big fat -blam!- you to any group that uses strategy.
What say you?
Edit: For me personally, I will be much less likely to take new people through the raid as I don't want to risk doing the Atheon fight for hours. Not to mention that some people just don't want to hold the relic, they should have that choice. Raids in other games use strategy and people fill roles that they're comfortable, this should not be random and I don't like being forced to play the game how they say we should. Of course this is just my opinion.

However for the sake of all that is winning and triumph i WOULD NOT send those same people into the portals. See, those people have the ROLE of staying outside. There are also people who have the ROLE of going into the portals. This is called team work, and its a strategy. Taking this away will only make the raid harder, nothing else.

I think that each time your team teleports then someone randomly dies. That way, it forces everyone to be a sunsinger in the event that it happens to them. "Create the character you want" but we heavily advise its a warlock sunsinger so you don't have three titan strikers getting teleported. This is Bungie's way of saying screw you for glitching our game. If you think they cared then they would be the ones polling for answers, wouldn't they?

If you think about it you would actually be dealing more damage to Atheon during the amplified damage time as you will not have to break and have the 3 people run to the back. The people bunched up in the middle dealing damage can just stay in the cleansing bubble and continually shot and 3 people will be teleported from there. More damage on the boss and with a team who can follow orders its not any harder than the way it is currently. Teleported team will call out side they go to immediately and call out who grabbing the relic, others shoot rocket or throw bombs down towards center. Outside team opens the correct side and protects. Simple as that, rinse and repeat.

This will make it harder for new players to get into the raid. The relic does take a little practice to get used to and if one player can cause the mission to really drag out if they don't use it right. I find it to be an unnecessary change. It will slow down the progress of newer Raid players. And it is a little hypocritical to Bungie's own words about a team play. Thhis wouldn't bother me so much if they would open up all modes to matchmaking, including Nightfall and weekly heroics. I see absolutely no possible reason for restricting this to friends only as it does leave a number of players completely out. This is all IMHO of course.

Yep, it takes more "strategy" to deal with the unexpected rather than run a cookie-cutter party.

The people "assigned" to teleport seem to just be carrying the team because the others outside become just supplicant turrets anyway. Once you learn the inside portion, it's easy enough. Why is this a bad thing? Once again it just seems like laziness on the part of the players who don't want to adapt. The irony is that people are saying the Atheon fight is already easy enough as it is and if this introduces some slight challenge then aren't they getting what they wanted? Bungie can never win with this kind of community.

Oh goodness!! Heaven forbid they make it where people actually have to know what they are doing!!!! That means people have to try and we all know we love having shit handed to us... Don't do it Bungie!!! Don't add some sort of skill to the raid!!!! That would be improbable???!?!?
