191 hrs of game time with a lvl 33 cryptarch, Still not a single exotic to be seen!
Hey all,
The title is self explanitory, Have been playing destiny non stop since the release with minimal sleep. I enjoy the game beyond comprehension and am more than happy with it. I honestly don't remember the last time I stumbled upon a video game so addictive.
However there is one very dissapointing thing, Still not one exotic decrypted from legendary engrams when everyone and anyone around me seems to be finding them or at least found some before they've reached my level. Either I'm extremely unlucky or there's something wrong with the rng whenever I go to decrypt something legendary.
Now in all honesty I'm going to be extremely blunt here by saying I definitely feel like I'm being cheated by bungie. I've had to resort to farming purely for the reason of attempting to source my own legendary engrams to hopefully decrypt into something exotic with still no luck.
Someone please tell me you're in the same position as me...
I have no spirit left to play the game all I need is that little spark of hope and by saying this I mean a damn exotic already.
Red death, hard light, or suros regime would be fantastic right about now.
I for one am not the person to make topics or posts like these on the forums but I just needed to share my awful luck to see how many are in the same boat. If for any chance something is wrong can a bungie employee please rectify the situation.
I feel as though I deserve one by now.

I have two exotic weapons after 30 hours, one cryptarch and one crucible one. Got my first legendary after i had two exotics:)

4 RepliesDude, the game has been out for like 14 days of which you've played 6,5 days... no wonder you have no 'spirit left to play the game' Not judging, do what you like, but don't be surprised if you don't like the game anymore :) Also, what the other guys say, save up on the strange coins is a sure bet to buy exotics and with motes of light you can always buy an Exotic engram... I assume you're doing all the bounties every day, you may end up with an exotic bounty.

10 RepliesI have 8 exotics. 2 from bounties, 2 bought and 1 from doing the nightfall. Farming is not the answer.

I've had no exotics or legendaries. I'm only 25 hours in mind. May the RNG gods shine their yellow light on you.

1 ReplyMy cryptarch is 33 too, yesterday I got my first exotic out of an engram, young ahamkara's spine, I turned in about 5 legendaries at the same time, I noticed that when I do that I tend to get 1/2 of my engrams turning purple, rather than decrypting them as soon as I get them and always getting blues.

7 RepliesDo a nightfall. Nearly guaranteed exotic. Farming is actually the least effective way to get exotics. You're doing it wrong.

My day yesterday was my worst experience with it because my friend, who is MUCH worse a player than I am, as well as doesn't play this game as much, got 2 amazing exotic weapons in one day!!! (Invective and Suros Regime) I'm not really mad about it anymore, but I am so perturbed by this. I seriously feel like Bungie is cheating me. That, or my luck is some of the worst you can get in terms of getting good items in the game. Something needs to be done about the loot system. I understand you can buy your gear, but I shouldn't have to wait for every single weekend just to buy an exotic, when it might not even be the exotic I want, so I would have to wait another week. That's ridiculous. People are getting exotics out the ass and I can't even get one worth keeping. It it wasn't for Bad Juju being my first exotic weapon, I would be abandoning the bounty right now.

I feel your pain I refuse to use the treasure cave and my friends are abusing it I was lvl 24 before they even got to 20 I have done all mission countless times (not as many hours as you) I have never seen an exotic my friends farmed the cave for one day they got 4 exotics and fully equipped in legendary between like 6 of em I've told em I hope bungee resets there chars back before they abused cave haha

1 ReplyI got over 2 days played and have yet to loot anything above a blue...any purple/exotic i have has been purchased.... I think the rng is broken...i wouldnt be surprised if i did the raid and got Blue Light +2 gloves

Im in the same boat, but if i had everything first week of the game that wuld make me stop playing too. When i do get the exotic i want it will mean even more to me and be that much more exciting.
