For explore? That might prevent you from running into other random guardians, but it would probably work...

I understand your concern but I'm assuming that it should still be possible to come across other Guardians.
-
Whats the most guardians you have seen in an area? Just curious. I'm not sure if I've ever seen more than 6 at a time in a PvE area. I wasn't exactly counting.
-
Outside of the tower? Six or seven I think
-
I think I've seen up to 4 other Guardians but this is excluding the 1 or 2 friends I was playing with at the time and during a Public Event.
-
Thats still only around 6... My only real concern is that with party's locked up and not accepting randoms, people who go in solo hoping to find random matches will have less chance of finding a good match. I was left alone in the beta more than I would have liked.
-
I see your point. Hopefully, the maps will be large enough to support more than 6 people. It shouldn't be a problem, though.
-
Its not so much the map size as the connection, i think. PvE is almost certainly harder on the servers than PvP because they not only have to keep track of the players, but the dozens if not hundreds of mobs that these players will be fighting, particularly if they are split up and/or a public event or massive AI battle happens.
-
I hope today's tech would be able to handle this.
-
True. Im just saying its a possibility, as it has been a problem in the past and even though the hardware has certainly improved, software has also grown more complex and requires more resources than it used to.
-
Agreed. Let's just hope Bungie is able to pull it off, then.
