As someone who plays all characters and has been a switch between titan and warlock main this year, grapple should be a hunter only on prismatic. Warlocks are looking pretty broken with the combos listed and I'm loving it but tossing in grapple too would dilute the identity of the mobile class further. As for Titans, it's going to be amazing as well with the frenzied blades and consecration combo. Hunters is still something I'm concerned about but still think it'll be fun af.

  •
would dilute the identity of the mobile class further.
Hunters were never given the identity of "mobility" in the history of Destiny. Their jump does not carry momentum nearly as well as the other 2 classes. Icarus Dash & Twilight Garrison were designed to carry momentum.

  • Our class ability requires mobility to charge, our subclasses and armor have been specced into mobility since d1 y1, and somehow mobility isnt a part of our identity? Sure buddy.

  • Hunter is about directional control. I don’t know if you’ve ever watched an Aegis video or something but Hunter has always universally been the slowest class (outside of the 1 month stint before the discovery of well skating)

Yes. Hunter is slow. You are making my point. Despite the concept of mobility being intrinsically tied to hunter from the very beginning, every other class generally has been more mobile than them for a very long time. You cannot credibly say that mobility isnt part of hunters class identity when the stat has always been the one we are most specced into. Its a design failing that, in spite of that, hunters arent actually mobile.

You say that like hunters haven't been forced to watch as other classes get more and more mobile than them while bungie kneecaps them since destiny 1

Or how every class got some for of healing that was originally on the warlock (Devour, Healing Nades, etc) or that the basis of the elemental font system was based on Ionic Traces.
