Something that would really fit in with destinys sci-fi universe is spaceship exploration and combat. Let us fly around the solar system fighting fallen pirates and cabal armadas. Make the ships into more than just loading screens, I want dogfights in the reef and intercepting fallen ketches with a couple of other guardians resulting in massive space battles A space update should come with three major areas. Firstly: ship customisation this is something the community have wanted for a really long time and earning ship upgrades would be a really good reason for playing. Secondly: pvp dogfights with either straight up tram deathmatch style gameplay or escorting/ intercepting capital ships Thirdly: What I personally would like to see most is a pve mode where you just exit a planets orbit and can fly around freely in our solar system. You could go all the way between the sun and pluto, discovering new things, fighting enemies and gaining loot, mainly ship based stuff. The ship customisation could work as such that you have a separate inventory screen just for your ship that lets you change your ships body, paint and general cosmetics. It would also allow you to upgrade your ship with weapons, engines and shields which affects it's handling etc. As far as the pvp goes there should of course be a deathmatch mode that's all about getting kills, but there should also include some more interesting modes such as a escort mode in which teams take turns in defending/ attacking say a allied ketch or something similar to it. Or even better a battlefront type gamemode in which you're engaged in a capital vs capital ship battle and you have to defend you're own ship while trying to destroy the enemys one. Finally for a space freeroam mode you would simply leave orbit and you're in space free to fly all the way between the sun and the outskirts of the solar system and when you want to do something else you simply fly to the nearest planet and enter orbit. The solar system should be filled with things to do such as fighting enemy ships, defending friendly transport ships, joining in publick events to take down large enemy ships such as ketches and cabal capital ships. Dodging asteroids in the reef looking to find some salvage for your ship or simply exploring trying to find some hidden secret. These are just my thoughts, what do you think, does this sound good, and is it something you would want in Destiny?
