Level advantages enabled. And since they're not getting year 2 damage values, they will be bad.
And seriously, SUROS regime with increased rate of fire?? obviously everyone will use that.
Just my thoughts, correct me if I'm wrong.
Really depends on how much of disadvantage it is. Will gun damage matter over the light stat? ie you could equip all 280 light gear and have one primary at 160 and that would only drag your average light down by a little bit.
Until we know how all the stats tie together it's impossible to say.
Using the above scenario that might be like being 33 and shooting a 34 in current IB. Just a slight disadvantage.
Thoughts?

I suggest you watch the redbullesports twitch stream from yesterday, if that's an example of 2.0 values the TTK has been seriously reworked
-
anybody tried the stranger's rifle in iron banana..? 215 attack, still 2/3 burst kills..
-
Yeah, older weapons with level advantages enabled are going to struggle. However, they will still be interesting to use in standard crucible. Of course if you only play IB & ToO, then you won't want to use the older weapons - and I think that is ok.

Im used the necro last iron banner

In one of the videos showing off changes to PVP an auto lit somebody up from mid-long distance without bouncing and pretty quickly. Autos will be king again it looks like.

Suros doesn't do nearly enough damage without the slow fire perk bruh you must be a newbie

Edited by maisydog: 8/23/2015 10:03:31 AMI'll use the Suros! It'll be like the first iron banner all over again lol Oh, wait, I have hawkmoon. Never mind!

We dont know if necro will have year 2 or not deej doesnt have it if you check his moments he hasn't even completed crota hard
-
Last word will still be good

In response to killboy (I'm waaaaay to lazy to find the original reply): Light level is actually irrelevant in IB and ToO. Damage output is determined by a weapon's attack value. That is calculated against an enemy's defense stat, which determines how much damage the enemy sustains. I didn't catch the stream, so I'm not 100% on the new system, but I can't imagine it'd be to much different. It'd be akin to hopping in now with a blue gun. Not terribly effective.

That version 2.0 Suros has horrible stability and range compared to the 1.0. Everyone was too excited about the new colours to see the base stats were ass.
-
Don't know really but when 2.0 we will see although hard light and the necrochasm are both fun to use but are useless at the moment
-
It's range was much lower than the normal Suros though
-
I was telling everyone that xD Bungie are buffing the Necro & Hardlight separately and forget to ascend them to year2 xD Get ready for V2 of TLW, Souros and Hawk moon to dominate PvP end level activities xD

What if damage doesn't matter but light level does? This would mean that the lower damage y1 do the same y2 because they have the same light level?
-
We still don't know that.

Edited by ivannn18: 8/23/2015 8:02:14 AMGuns damage stats doesn't translate in crucible, not even trials or IB (I prove myself using not full upgraded weapons in trials... Perform exactly the same after upgrading it) (impact it's the only Stat that matter talking about damage)
-
I'll be using my Monte carlo. I'll get ttk version free since I have it already :)
-
Why even bother Buffing the Hard Light and Necrochasm if the dmg is gonna be piss poor in end game activities where lvl matters, Trials, Iron Banana and such. Just like Gally. If it is not getting yr 2 dmg, why Nerf it? It already has less dmg than a Taken King Green weapon, so what's the harm? Gawh

I think when most of us say that we can't wait to use such weapons we mean in normal crucible, of course we won't be able to use them in those game modes but your not going to be playing those game modes anyways 90% of the time(at least for me)
