Do you play games because of the graphics?
DON'T TAKE OFFENSE PC GAMERS!
But most of the arguments about PC having 1080p graphics whilst running at 60fps. Quite honestly I play games because they are fun. I don't care about graphics. I care about replay value, and game mechanics. Granted, games that look realistic can look awesome and beautiful such as a sunset in the mountains in GTA 5. I want to know your opinion.

I play games because of their story. It is the creativity of the designers that makes me love gaming. I do not play for graphics, but I think it is important for what I am doing. To know the very little details, see how much dedication the game designers put into work is just amazing.

I play game for music, lore, and story. Gameplay and graphics really play a part. But I don't focus on those too much. A good testament to this is Dust: An elysian tail. Really great story, beautiful soundtrack... [spoiler]That menu music always brings one tear to my eye every time I listen to it.[/spoiler] And while the Lore wasn't touched on that much it was enough to make me dig deeper. Gameplay and graphics. It was a 2-D scroller and everything was drawn out. A challenge to the standards of game making of today. I loved that game, and really look forward to replaying it and still hoping for a sequel.

6 RepliesI feel its mostly the console gamers who are more obsessed with graphics. I constantly see people arguing about what system the current big AAA game looks the best on. PC gamers on the other hand seem less interested in polygon counts. We love us some good looking games, but I feel its the fact that PC gamers have had amazing looking games forever that its not that special anymore. We've played with that toy, it was fun, but we're done with it.

Nope. Since I don't have the Master Chief Collection or the Anniversary edition of Halo: CE, and I wanted to play through the Halo series again, I played Halo: CE (the original Xbox edition) and Halo 2 again on their original graphics. Graphics are laughably bad (particularly in cutscenes) but the games are so good that I play them anyway

I like, graphics, graphics are good. But if it had to come down I would have to choose gameplay. You can't play a game without good gameplay, but you can still play with bad graphics, although I would prefer good graphics.

You'll catch me playing a zombie shooter on my phone before you catch me playing mario bros on NES. But if content and graphics are relatively close but content is supreme and graphihcs are standard, that's where I'm at.

1 ReplyIf you think graphics matter more than content itself, you need to sell your console and games since youre probably bad, and buy a painting with the money. Please stare at that and appreciate. Video games are for entertainment, if you are not really entertained and are only just sitting going "oooo prettyyyy", you are absolutely stupid, and are wasting oxygen.

I could care less about realistic graphics. I want more unique or even cartoony graphics like Borderlands or No Mans Sky has. They make me feel like I'm actually playing a game not some simulator. And yes realistic graphics are nice and everything, I'm just getting tired of games trying to look realistic. Also I find it funny that everyone says gameplay is everything and that graphics don't matter, but then there was a huge commotion when Watch_Dogs had downgraded graphics. That game was a lot of fun, and it wasn't even that bad looking, but people got all butthurt about a downgrade in graphics.

I don't play games for graphics or frame rate, but that doesn't mean i don't have standards. I won't play a game if it is under 30 generally and if it doesn't run at 720p. If I play it and it doesn't meet these requirements, you best believe it is one fun hell of a game.

Good graphics are just icing on the cake. As long as the mechanics are smooth and the story well crafted, I don't concern myself with graphics.

Graphics are important to me but if it's a great game like the n64 games then it doesn't matter. I still have super smash bros and goldeneye with an n64 in my basement just because they are incredible
