I feel its mostly the console gamers who are more obsessed with graphics. I constantly see people arguing about what system the current big AAA game looks the best on. PC gamers on the other hand seem less interested in polygon counts. We love us some good looking games, but I feel its the fact that PC gamers have had amazing looking games forever that its not that special anymore. We've played with that toy, it was fun, but we're done with it.

  • My old PC could three-screen the new Witcher on Ultra. My new set-up is intentionally built to three-screen it in 3D. I'm especially focused on graphics (on my PC) . Otherwise, what's the point?

  • I guess everyone is different. Those are just my observation on the matter.

To each their own, of course. But the main argument for PC gamers is the superior power and graphics. I don't like to let that opportunity go to waste. I'm more focused on story and gameplay when it comes to my One/360.

  • Troof, most the PC games that I'm interested in (but can't play because I don't have a PC) aren't even that good looking, just have an incredibly fun style/gameplay that I can't find on my consoles.

  • Not even a laptop or anything like that?

  • I have a laptop, but it's not that great for games. Take Mount and Blade for example, love that game. Not a very graphically intensive game(and even then I need to turn quite few dials down), but the kicker for M&B is the 200+ unit battles that my laptop can't handle. If I limit it to 50-60 units at a time, it chugs a little but will stay somewhere between 25-30fps, which is playable in my experience but not ideal. Same concept goes for KSP, turn all the settings down, make sure I'm not using too many parts, or else it won't be playable. And there was a phase where I was fine with that, but after a while I got tired of always having to limit the way I'm playing. I don't know, my console games work when I put them in the tray, which is nice. I'll get back into PC gaming once I get a desktop built.
