Why doesn't the Gunsmith upgrage Pre DLC Weapons??? Duh...
He's often pretty lonely over there. DLC caliber purchasable upgrade, no XP reset. PROBLEMO SOLVO. He's an Engineer, not a Desklamp.

Good idea because I really don't like the guns the vendors are selling and I would not mind leveling them back up if they did a max damage of 331. So what 7500 glimor a trade in of the old weapon and what 3 ascendant energies something to that affect. I would be ok with that I think.

I am on the verge on not playin destany until house of wolves drops. Theres no point in grinding for weaponry and gear if it becoms obsolete in a few months. Why would i log hours now when i can just buy vendor gear than and be better off. Ya the new stuff is nice but in the end everyone will running around in the same gear clone gear to be the highest level. Wish icould wear some of the better looking low level by adding materials and motes to increase the gear ratings. Or something like bungi did with the husk of the pit. Seriously i almost quit and im nit alone.

1 ReplyI too have spent countless hours grinding, doing the same things over and over and over and over again to level up both my gear and weapons just to find out I get to do it yet again. So now I have to spend even more countless hours doing the same things over and over again just to get back to the level I was already at? Really guy's!? They buffed the Vex M-class to 323 without having to do all this BS! What about the rest of us who have families and school and don't have 700 hours to spend playing this game. What about those of us who only have a few friends we can play with because we have lives, jobs, and responsibilities. I'm telling you now, your going to see a major drop in players because of this. We are all going to move on to another game because what we have all worked so hard to accomplish has been taken away. And for what? Thirty extra damage points that could have just been patched into the dl like they did with the M-class. This is a major issue and it needs a solution... I will still game for now. But I don't think it will be nearly as much as it would be simply because my time, efforts, and patients has been wasted and completely taken advantage of. Bump if you feel the same!

Let the gunsmith become important and set up a system that allows us to upgrade our guns to current standards (331 damage). Bungie should do this for themselves too, because they labored hard to make really cool guns before the dlc and it is a shame to see them all broken down for a little glimmer. It is not much to let him upgrade legendary guns, exotics can remain Xur's domain.

However, the legendary gear that we have should not cost much more than glimmer to upgrade. The exotics, that we have to upgrade now, cost two exotic shards to max them. i purchased the Suros Regime about a month ago for 23 coins like everyone else and maxed it. Then after the DLC It costs an additional seven coins to boost it to the upgraded exotic tier, then it costs seven more coins to max it's final perk point. it cost me 37 strange coins to buy and max my Suros. What the F*** Bungie? Why are we being punished for buying the DLC? Why is store bought gear stronger than my exotics?

there are a few vendors in the tower that seem to be the victims of the last-minute plot-shift/plot-pit. The gunsmith, Eva, Shipwright, and The Speaker all seem to be pretty much worthless. I do love most of the Hunter Capes though (over 100 motes of light worth of love). Eva was supposed to have new shaders during every reset, but instead she just gained about 4 more, two of which rotate in and out every 24 hours. Gunsmist: synthesis, which could easily just be sold by one of the class trainers. Shipwright: you get a ship, at the conclusion of ONE of your missions and every once in a blue moon, you get one of like 3 blueprints that you can turn in for a turd-colored ship. Otherwise, you only see her when you're searching for Xur at 1am on Friday mornings.

That's why you're at the mercy of Xur. Can't play on the weekend? Sucks to be you. Oh and Xur won't have any of your exotics next week so it REALLY sucks to be you.
