So Bungies latest patch, about the engrams and stuff. It still seems like the cryptarch needs to be shown a couple more sacks of door knobs if you know what I mean. I realized that when bungie did the patch, it just turned every legendary engram that you would ever get, that would yield a blue reward, just be a blue engram. Whereas the "true" legendary engrams, which would yield a purple or better stayed the same rate of appearing.(which was basically never).
So basically, all bungie did, was just remove the buzz kill we got when a legendary engram turned into a blue item by just making them all blue engrams. While leaving the true legendary engrams alone, because they never appeared anyway...

Edited by X 5I5O: 10/3/2014 4:31:16 PMTHIS DAMN PATCH RUINED MY DROP RATE LUCK! No purples now. Scarce blues. And when I get a purple for ranking up, reward, etc. it's marked as a Legendary purple. I turn it in to the jack ass that needs more beatings with a sack of door knobs (Cryptarch prick). And the bastard gives me greens and blues! I want to beat him into a frothy pulp! xD

Got 3 legendarys in 2 hours. Before patch I got 1 in about 30-40 hours. Yea I don't notice any change either.

I had a legendary engram from hitting lvl5 cryptarch in the post that crapped into two rare engrams

Edited by x-MISANTHROPIC-x: 10/2/2014 5:14:45 AMWithin 5 minutes of the patch going live a purple engram dropped from trash on the Archon priest tiger strike - that produced an exotic AR hard light. Two strikes later after killing the summoning pits boss I got a strange coin and an exotic scout rifle.

No they raised the drop rate of purple engrams. Also i think your point about all purple drops that would turn blue just being blue drops is off. There was just another RNG when decrypting that is now less RNG with no blue surprise.
