It's a small range nerf
You're less likely to hit far away with a hand cannon
You'll do slightly less damage with an AR on far away targets
We will cause less damage the further away you are with a shotty
Fusion rifles spread a little more and most of the bullets won't catch you when you're so far away
Pulse rifles sucked considering that the scout outclassed them In long range, and the AR outclassed them in med+ range.
There is a stigma now that all pulse rifles suck in pvp. And I think the damage boost gives players a new incentive to give it a new try. When if you think about it if I'm doing 100 dmg, an 8.5% (or whatever it is) is only going to Boost it to 108 dmg.
I Love my shotgun in pvp! So much so that I'll even prefer to die as I rush my target in plain sight. Just having some fun :p but it's a special weapon used for special situations. Same with the fusion rifle. People have gotten into the habit of using them as primaries. And you know it's true! The ammo reset is perfectly understandable and legit. Besides you usually spawn next to an ammo crate anyways. And this update gives the ammo perks some real use.
Anyways there's my 2 cents.
