It is not cheating, but it is not the intended way PvP was made. Feeding orbs is one thing, but to have an infinite orb bubble village that can move across the map and tank void bombs is not teamwork in the slightest. If there were any way to overcome this strat, maybe they could afford to leave it in, bu the only way I can think of to derail it is for a striker to somehow make it past 8-12 golden gun shots and hit a perfect fist of havoc on all of the bubbles. However after that all the defenders have to do is pick up a few scattered orbs (there's a huge surplus on the ground) and it's back to it. This is as much teamwork as having the Fireteam leader disconnect during the Crota fight, or having a sunsinger resurrect after thralls despawn. Exploitation of mechanics is not teamwork.

Button Combos have been branded as cheating by Bungie. I'm sure superbouncing and sword canceling would be interesting to watch also but it'll still get you banned. Destiny isn't competitive, and it really can't be, so why are you arguing that it would make a tournament better and why would allowing this be fun to watch? 4 guys sitting in bubbles while one or two others get free kills, that isn't really exciting.

That's called competition. It can't be competitive without pvt matches. Something the community has asked for since day 1. You aren't thinking match end to finish. First off, this setup is most valuable at B and if a team achieves it going for A and C becomes valuable. Both teams will be fighting to get supers first and finally, if you try and set the bubbles up to early with no defense from a golden gun then a foh or nova bomb will break the setup. You also have to allow all the players to be in the same spot at the same time and without the lead against a good team a good team is just gonna sit and snipe from a and c as they walk out of the bubble. The moment that golden gun isint there every super can smash those bubbles like nothing. Titan can super man dive golden guns pop bubbles Nova bombs pop bubbles Bladedancer can camo and run in and showstopper Sunsinger can run in and die and call for everyone to attack and when they do he revives and scorch melee's everyone from behind. So many options, all I would want to see. This game having competition is up to the players not the dev. The dev can fxck us but why would you brush off people who want to play your game, and more intensely than most players? Honestly if bungie doesn't add ranks or pvt matches shxt like this will always happen. Maybe not with supers but the games will always be one sided.

I already responded to some other guy here, but maybe you haven't seen it either https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzdpJaDdn08 ski[p to 4:35 and consider again how easy it is to counter this strat. Next they never were on any points in a control match, they were triple capped almost the entire game and still won by a considerable amount.

Did you watch the video, it's pretty damning. I'm convinced you haven't watched it, so I'll give you a synopsis. It's the same team, same strat on Venus. The put up the bubbles on the A side of the middle tunnels. They get triple capped, no sweat. At 4:35 2 bubbles pop from a nova bomb while a striker charges in and hits his first of havoc before getting popped in the mouth by the golden gun, and not a second later all bubbles are back up. The game ends 15000+ to ~10000 with our bubble champions taking the easy win. Thinking you could do better by yourself is bordering on arrogance because what should have been a rout was shrugged off.
-
That was a specific example in which they placed the wards in a pretty stupid spot. Had they gone to B (as one member suggested in the video you're choosing to ignore to benefit your argument) it would've been even more one-sided. I'm going to end up repeating myself, so before you start the easy counter debate first watch the video, then look at the other conversation in the reply train.

"This is as much teamwork as having the Fireteam leader disconnect during the Crota fight, or having a sunsinger resurrect after thralls despawn. Exploitation of mechanics is not teamwork." Its not exploitation, it IS the game mechanics. I seriously hope they dont change this. Two warlocks firing off Novas would probably wipe the bubbles, and if you have 4 other mates ready to pire specials as well then this is fair teamwork.

Knockback and AI avoidance from AOE grenades is a mechanic that was exploited alongside arena layout to push Atheon and the Templar off of their respective maps. It's both a mechanic and an exploit. I guess I confused you with citing Crota cheese, I hoped it would resonate more because if the recency, but apparently it wasn't a direct enough parallel to draw.

Once any of the titans die, they will already have another full super meter and start the "teamwork" again whenever they spawn. Best way around this? Make supers recharge just a little faster, and disable orb drops in PvP entirely.

One hunter and one titan can wipe this out with minimal communication & decent timing Striker (w/inmost light aftershocks & unstoppable) jumps as high as possible Gunslinger (w/ symbiote &overpenetration) shoots two shots @ bubbles. Striker FoH into middle if the pile. Gunslinger has two shots to clean up. Most are dead. Orbs are gone. This is with only two ppl on the other team communicating, and not ever trying to have someone time a nova bomb also. Try again.

This... as the OP said, this is an example of teamwork, it will take teamwork to counter it, and the other team provided none. Jump in the fireteam chat that everyone bitzhed and moaned wasnt in the game (and no one uses now) and coordinate your efforts

The orbs do not disappear post death. The orbs being pumped out by the gunslingers are also scattered sufficiently to allow the defenders to recoup and be up on running on less than a minute. In theory, perhaps it is possible to pop the bubbles but with the blessing and armor stacking these guys are tough to kill and a full team wipe is unlikely. Again, the orbs of light on the ground do not disappear after death, at most a striker fist would just scatter them around a bit.
